Life long RKPT resident who has loved this place through various owners. Unfortunately business hours and wait times for food are becoming too much to handle. Often the site says they are open only to arrive to find they are closed during key summer business hours. I was there this weekend and quickly put in our oder (party of 2) after waiting 45 minutes I asked the gentleman next to me how long he had been waiting and it was nearly 90 minutes (for breakfast!) During this time the restaurant was less than 1/2 full and they were actively turning away patrons because they were so far behind... why? I dont know. When our food finally arrived sure it was tasty but the nearly 2 hour wait for our breakfast left me jaded. Disappointed to see this from a once iconic restaurant and a RKPT staple especially with how few places there are to eat around town. Hoping management can turn things around and get their restaurant(s) back on track because Rockport needs good...
Read moreI am so happy that the Red Skiff, now named Delisi’s Red Skiff, has been kept open by such nice people who also live in the community! Today was Jessica & Al’s second day open and I dropped by for a late lunch! Everyone was so friendly and there were so many great dishes on the menu. I was having a tough time deciding between the steak bomb and the meatballs. Jessica, the new owner’s wife suggested the steak bomb and then included a meatball to try! Both so delicious! Breakfast menu also looks great! So delighted to have such a nice choice in downtown Rockport! While I was there, a representative from one of the local schools came by to procure an auction item for a fundraiser! I was so impressed they said yes with the doors only open one day! I got to meet Jessica’s mother-in-law , who made the meatballs! Antonella!!! Best meatball I...
Read moreCame here for brunch and had an excellent experience. We opted for a table outside as it was a beautiful day. Waitresses were very friendly. It took some time for food to come out, I think the kitchen got a little backed up, but we didn't mind very much because we weren't in a rush. The food was so delicious. Usually, breakfast food can upset my stomach if it's too greasy. But the food here wasn't greasy or heavy at all. Everything was cooked perfectly. Even the toast was perfect. We cleaned our plates and were stuffed. Needless to say, the food was worth the wait! Seating does get filled quickly during brunch hours so plan to come early. We came around 11 am and there were a few open tables left. By 11:30-11:45 they were full and a short wait had started. Overall, we had a great experience and will certainly be back. We'd recommend...
