The owner is a PĆ¢tissiĆØre (pastry chef) who graduated from the Culinary Institute of America (CIA), one of the top culinary schools in the US. We’ve been friends since middle school. She’s incredibly smart and talented in many ways, especially artistically. When she first opened her Bakery CafĆ© in Redondo Beach, California, seven years ago, it was so popular in the area, and I often visited to try her pastries. However, about five years ago, she sold that place, moved to Maryland, and opened Mirabeau here in Rockville. It’s been a long time since Iā€˜ve had her pastries, and I’m so happy to have tasted such delicious pastries again. I’m truly touched. 🄹 Rockville, Maryland, is a special place because of Mirabeau. Not just because we’re friends, but I highly recommend Mirabeauā€˜s pastries! šŸ‘ Come try their diverse and delicious pastries here at Mirabeau!

I found this while I was visiting a friend in Rockvilleand I loved it! I made a second visit on the way back home and so glad I did. I like french pastries, croissants and cafes and make a point of visiting highly rated places whenever I visit new cities, and this one is one of my favorites! (Especially compared to the ones I recently visited in Atlanta..) It's a cute place with a few tables, all the items I tried were excellent (see my photos), and the coffee is good! (Better than a lot of mediocre coffee shops) Service is good, too. (Quietly frie dly., so to say) If you haven't tried, try the gallette bretonne, which is a buttery tart that's like shortbread but better texture. If I come back to the area, I'll.definitely visit again!

I almost want to gate keep but I’m here to review the jambon beurre..the bread so fresh and crusty. I’ve been looking for the perfect one and this is it. Before this, I’d buy this sandwich from Balducci’s. Mirabeau’s jambon beurre brings me back to Paris. I noticed they use mustard in their version and honestly, its presence wasn’t so much that it bothered me at all as I couldn’t taste much of it. I also had a strawberry matcha latte which I enjoyed as well. I’ll definitely try some of their other offerings next time but I can’t stop thinking about that sandwich! I would also like to note that the atmosphere was nice, the staff was friendly, and service was fast. I enjoyed sitting by the window as I had my delicious meal.

This is one of my favorite spots in the DMV. I believe this place is family-owned, so it's usually the same 2-3 really kind, calm, and efficient ladies who work here and provide amazing customer service. It's definitely a smaller cafe in terms of seating, but rarely super crowded (although the influx of workers on Fisher's Lane is making it more busy) and has some outdoor seating.

They have a decent variety of cakes, cookies, pastries, and sandwiches that are all very fresh and well-made. The stand out for me is the coffee, which is surprisingly excellent for a place that doesn't specialize in coffee. The espresso is well-pulled, and the steamed milk is smooth and silky.

They don't do drip coffee and instead offer americanos (hot or iced), which are also great and further proof that the espresso is of good quality and not hiding behind cream or flavors. My favorite is their peanut butter latte, which tastes like they've actually added peanut butter to it rather than just using one of the Torani syrups most cafes like...

Staff and location are very nice. You can sit and work while music is decent. Staff is preparing food and beverages very quietly and music is very classical. Perfect for work. Seating is limited but even on a Saturday morning, only a few customers decided to stay here and finding a spot in the window was easy. Prices are what you would expect in our beloved area. It's not overpriced for our standards in the DMV. It's well managed. Drinks will be served in one way paper cups no matter you stay there or you are on the run. Sandwiches are delicious but tend to be a bit pricy given that they lack complexion. However, the ingredients used for their sandwiches seem to have high quality and work perfectly together in their sandwiches. The less is in there, the more the quality of each individual ingredient can be appreciated. It's good and...
