I’m giving this place 2 stars based on the customer service I’ve received. Don’t get me wrong, I love the candy apples but I’ve came to this location on multiple occasions and not once have I ever been greeted. The 1st time it was a young lady. I gave her the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe she’s having an off day. Went another time, same girl and nothing. I went this Tuesday and 2 younger guys were working. They talked and laughed with the gentleman ahead of me but when it was my turn both just stood and looked. Um should I grab my own apple since no one knows how to ask how may I help you smh. Now call me crazy but I’ve always been taught to greet customers working in a customer service environment. Seems like this place picks and chooses who they want to speak to based on color if you ask me. Next I ordered 2 apples sliced and both the guys dropped my apples giggling and laughing not once but multiple times. One of them dropped my apple so many times the toppings fell off all over that nasty counter top, to which I asked for a new apple since he tried to still bag it. Maybe management needs to step in and teach these teens they are hiring proper customer service skills if they want to keep customers happy. I won’t be returning to this location. The Terrell location is always much friendlier...
Read moreUpdate: My husband and I went in here while coming off vacation, and they have hands-down redeemed themselves!!!!! The owners are amazing people, they were very friendly, and the chocolate was GREAT as always! We will make it a point to come in every time we're in the area!
Every time we come to Rockwall to visit my sister, we make it a point to come by and get some sweets (which my husband LOVES chocolate). The more mature ladies are usually in there and they are very friendly, nice, helpful, etc. This time when we came in, it was 3 younger people (1 guy and 2 girls). No one spoke to us when we entered, but they spoke to the guy that came in after us. They didn’t offer any help, etc. It was definitely not even close the same experience as the other times before. We are from Louisiana where people are friendly. Although the chocolate is absolutely delicious, I’m big on customer service as well. After this, I’m not sure if this place is worth fighting crowds to finding a parking spot to come in here. We travel ALOT so we will look up another one...
Read moreWhile I wish I could give this place five stars based on the stellar service and the friendly demeanor of the staff, unfortunately, my experience with the chocolates left much to be desired. The atmosphere is delightful, and the surroundings are charming.
Eagerly anticipating a moment of savoring high-quality chocolate, my wife and I ordered four pieces. However, when we received the bill totaling $20.00 (without a receipt specifying the cost of each item), we were taken aback. We understand that quality comes at a price, but regrettably, that's where our excitement turned into disappointment.
The chocolates were not just subpar; they were of extremely low quality, leaving us quite dissatisfied. I don't mind indulging occasionally and paying a premium, but if premium prices are charged, the quality should match. Surprisingly, we've had store-brand chocolates that tasted far superior to these.
While other items in the store might appeal to different tastes, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend the chocolates sold at Rocky Mountain based on...
