The Scott Self Lighthouse at the Harbor — Attraction in Dallas

I visited the lighthouse on a Saturday afternoon, and while the experience was great overall, finding parking was a bit of a challenge. It took me more than 15 minutes to find a decent spot, which was a little frustrating. Once I arrived, though, I was blown away by how cute and picturesque the place is! It has such a beautiful, peaceful vibe—not too crowded. Some areas were closed off due to storm damage, but that didn’t take away from the overall charm. Parking sucks. Besides that, the Harbor is a great place to go with a date or your family. It is free and a great place to walk around to see the fountains and the lake. There are plenty of food places and some shopping nearby. Additionally, there are hotels and a movie theater nearby. If you want to take your shoes off, you can walk through the jumping fountains or have your kids bring swimwear or a change of clothes to play in the water to help beat the heat.
