My displeasure has to do with curbside pickup. The first time was flawless. I shopped online and curbside pickup was fast and easy. The second time, so many pickup times were available at the beginning of shopping but shockingly you must wait until the completion of shopping to choose one. At other stores, it is possible to choose times during shopping, not Aldi. My list was lengthy. When I was finished shopping, all the pickup times were gone! I could not find an option to select the next day for pickup. I was forced at this point to select delivery with Instacart which is expensive, because I did not want to dump my cart!! I really love Aldi products, So (weeks later) today I gave curbside pickup another chance. The exact same thing happened which was infuriating!! I would not use Instacart again and wipe out all my savings. This time I, I transferred my list to a competitor and found that prices on most items were cheaper anyway.. I also discovered that you cannot call the store. Store numbers are unlisted for "cost-saving measures"..you are then directed to the corporate website which also has no phone number-only a snail-mail address and email. In order to email, you must fill out personal information including your address and phone number. You are not helping the high risk population during the pandemic like your competitors....
Read moreHad a rather unpleasant encounter with elder women cashier who displayed an intolerable bitter attitude towards me. It was so obvious it almost felt personal which is odd considering my checkout was the first time I engaged with her. As she finished up with customer ahead of me, I greeted with a “Hi there”, to which she seemed to not acknowledge, but no problem.. It was when I asked if they accepted mobile payment to which she responded with a rude “Do you not see the sign?” to which she pointed to. Which I obviously did not see.. Nonetheless that’s when I realized this individual surely must have been having a bad day to say the least. And to top it off, she didn’t have enough etiquette to simply hand me receipt and instead tossed it in the cart as she looked away and pushed my cart in the other direction. The lack of greeting/ acknowledgment and rude response while filling a position of customer service left a sour taste in my mouth when leaving. And after a couple of days of experience, I’ve gotta say it still upsets me that this person behaved in such way. I love Aldi’s and will continue to shop at different locations, my only regret was not making sure I...
Read moreBig Aldi's shopper here. I almost know where an Aldi store is in every town. I feel this location is bigger amd cleaner than some in the area. The prices are a bit higher (within 40 cents to a dollar more) than locations other locations i could have stopped at. The meat secction was under stocked(no chicken at all)and i feel the store was missing a lot of the normal aldi brand stuff i buy. The lady at the cash register kept trying to get me to just unload my cart;i like to unload heavy stuff, cold stuff, produce & bread. Then after check out was complete she wanted me to take the full cart she had loaded and the cart my son was in(the one i had unloaded onto the belt) over to the counter amd unload the full cart into the empty one my son was in rather than moving 4 things in the full cart and moving him over. Hes a 3 so hes not in a carrier or anything. Anyway that just...
