Came here for brunch and it was really good and I had a good time. Since moving to the area, it's been hard to find good brunch spots that don't require a drive to Dallas or Plano/Frisco but I enjoyed this restaurant. We had sat at the bar and our bartender was super sweet and had good suggestions. We had started with the Calamari Shrimp Fritto Misto and it was so good. The cauliflower and zucchini were so delicious that we fought over them - wonderfully breaded and well seasoned. We had had a few cocktails that included a Mimosa Flight, an Espresso Martini and a very similar Carajillo, and a Mimosa that I made into a Man-Mosa (they add a shot of vodka). All of the drinks were phenomenal. The Carajillo cocktail was a suggestion from our bartender after the Espresso Martinis and initially we were skeptical about it because we thought the Licor 43 would be an overwhelming taste of almond but it all really paired well together. When it came to the food we shared the Vegetarian Egg White Omelet, the Brioche French Toast, a side of Truffle Fries, and a side of Bacon. Everything tasted great. The French Toast was the star - one of the best French Toast's that I've ever had because it didn't deflate down or wasn't too heavy either - it had the perfect density if that makes sense and the syrup tasted amazing on top. The goat cheese in the omelet tasted great as well but we both really liked the roasted red pepper sauce that was served with the brioche toast - definitely a star next to the French Toast. I can't wait to come back here to try more on their brunch menu but also to come and try their dinner menu. Definitely a restaurant I would like to frequent! *UPDATE* Came back a different day to enjoy brunch with some friends and everything was just as delicious as the first time around. We had the Charcuterie Board (the pears were drunken and amazing), Crab Cake Benedict, Amaretto Pancakes, Truffle Fries, Brioche French Toast - and it all tasted great, no complaints!

Better than expected! I expected a nicer version of a typical American Italian restaurant. But this was different and all in good ways. First, the ambience was great. The restaurant is beautiful and well-lit. It's modern but comfortable. Just loved the atmosphere as a whole. The food was good to great. We started with the mussels. They were served in a tomato sauce. They were good, but there was nothing special about the sauce. Plus at $14 for the appetizer I was surprised that we received what seemed like quite a bit less than what is standard at other restaurants. I've actually counted before (out of curiosity) and about 2 dozen seems to be the norm at that price point. I would guess there weren't more than 15 on our plate. We also shared the lobster bisque. Flavor-wise, it was fantastic. Exactly what you'd expect from a lobster bisque. Texture-wise, it was soupier than it was bisque-like. And while the flavor was very good, nothing about it stood out as special or different. I think a few tweaks (to the thickness and flavor) would help it reach that certain something--that umami if you will. Lastly, we shared the mango risotto special. This dish was spectacular and worth every penny. It was flavorful and perfect. The mango gave it that summer flare that risotto in summer needs. The scallops and fish paired with were perfectly cooked and well seasoned. Loved this dish. We skipped dessert as we were too full. We will definitely come back. I hope to see this place go from good to great. Right now, it's on the verge. it has all the potential to be great. I truly hope they reach it.

Mediocre. Torn between 3 or 4 stars. This place had a fairly good reviews in the area so we gave it a try. The inside was quite cute and lighting was very nice tho the service and food just didn’t meet my expectations. We went there at 3:30pm during happy hour, and our entrees came out at 4:30pm. How do I remember? I didn’t want to remember.. it just took forever. Sangria was pretty nice and appetizers were also good (muscle, board, and calamari) so we had good feelings for the entrees which was totally below mediocre. Steak was tasteless, ahi tuna salad was.. ugh i never seen this kind of ahi tuna salad. both presentation and taste was awful. Short rib ragu was weird.. it was made with angel hair and I actually love angel hair pasta so I was excited to try but it was just no. There’s reason why you don’t use angel hair with this recipe normally. Another salad supposed to have goat cheese as a main but it was funny how the main goat cheese was so little as small pieces all over. The best one out of all the entree was the extra side dish of truffle fries we ordered. It means non of main entrees we ordered was good.. it’s kind of sad. Is it worth going? I am not sure.. if I knew, I probably wouldn’t come here. Giving 4 just cuz the drink and appetizers were fairly good otherwise straight 3 stars.

Shocked at how terrible the service was. We were seated and given menus and water quickly, and told a server would be with us soon. We waited almost 10 minutes, and absolutely no one acknowledged us (there were plenty of servers not doing much, and it was not busy). We ended up flagging down a server and only then did we get attention. After that we had good service, and the food was great, so we had mostly forgotten about the rough start. But when we received our card back and the reciept we saw that we had been charged more than 3 times what our meal cost us! Of course our waiter disappeared, but someone else noticed how upset we looked and took the bill away. Our server then returned, gave a quick apology, and wandered off again. The manager had helped him void the charge but he never bothered to come and apologize to us. And we were still charged for the original cost of the meal! We confronted the manager as we were leaving because we wanted to be assured that the huge charge would be voided, and were again met with a quick, insincere apology. This was a huge mistake and I would have been mortified had I been the server or the manager, but no one seemed to really care. Charging someone more than three times what they spent could easily cause some people to overdraft their accounts, but Giovanni's will just wave you off; it's not their problem I guess. The worst part is that this is far from the first time we have come to this restaurant, and we like the food, but the manager clearly isn't interested in providing good service or keeping loyal customers around, so we won't be going back.

In response to the reply I received from the owner, I just want to clarify that I was, in fact, charged three times the cost of my meal. Also the manager never came to our table to apologize or explain what happened, I had to go and find him. I was told the charge was voided, but until my bank resolves the issue, that is a large amount of money missing from my account. It was an honest mistake, sure, but seeing as this is the first time this has ever happened to me, it's not something that happens all the time like the owner is implying, and could have been prevented if the server had been at all paying attention. Clearly I was right in assuming that this place could care less about providing...

I had the amazing opportunity to eat at Giovanni's in the harbor. We were deciding where to eat and after learning that it was owned by a Marine (Semper Fi) this Marine family had to go!

I had actually gone when they first opened. While the food was amazing, I left hungry. I hadn't been back because I wasn't sure the cost was worth the quantity.

Today I was proven WRONG and so glad to have given them another chance. We are all SO full and left with to-go boxes! I am already ready to go back to try other menu items

For an app. we got the calamari shrimp fritto misto. What a great way to start the meal- calamari, shrimp, cauliflower, zucchini, jalapeños. Came with an arrabbiata sauce and a lemon aioli. I am not one to eat cauliflower, but this was delicious and the lemon aioli was perfect.

My husband got the special- Chilean Sea Bass.

I had the lobster ravioli. Which is actually what I ordered the first time I went. It was just as delicious and the portion was larger. 3 ravioli with 2 large shrimp, a giant lump of crab meat, and a scallop. I have seen posts on here asking for where to get good seafood. Honestly, Giovannis wasn't a recommendation. That all changed tonight! The sea bass, my lobster ravioli was amazing and fresh!

The kids had Fettuccine Alfredo and Spaghetti and meatball. Per my daughter that is the best spaghetti and meatball she has ever had.

We also had dessert! We tried the blueberry bread pudding and the chocolate lava. Both were amazing. We were sharing the 2 desserts between all 4 of us. I had a hard time sharing the banana pudding.

I can not rave enough about the amazing food, the service, and the incredible owner. We will...
