We ordered our wedding cake and cupcakes from Alexander Baking Co and everything was absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing! From the very beginning, it was a very good experience with quick responses to any queries. We were able to pick up a tasting kit that allowed my husband and I to go through the different combinations at our leisure. The only hiccup was at pick up with our pick up date being mixed up with our wedding date (we were picking up the cake the day before to travel with it and have the next day), but we were still able to get our order (just ~1h later than planned) and was kindly given a 25% discount for the inconvenience. Called to get details and schedule a tasting for my wedding. Everything started out great until I asked questions. I was told there was no reason to be thinking about a wedding cake because of how far out my date is. I was calling for a tasting. When my date is shouldn’t matter unless I planned on choosing them. Can’t do that without a tasting. My wedding planning wasn’t up to their standards. They were very rude. Cut me off and kept talking over me. Got no details from them. No help at all. Beautifully designed cake exactly as I ordered it online. Cashier was friendly enough but the other staff member was indifferent even when I said thank y’all so much and have a great day. Maybe she was too busy, I don’t know. Not worth the price I paid for it. Icing had a weird flavor to it and you could definitely taste the dye in the colored flowers. Macarons were basic and tasted exactly like the icing. The cake tasted as if it had been frozen or refrigerated (which I know happens I just don’t want it to taste like it).
