Update: Evidently according to the manager it is I who should choose kindness and not the employee in question. Apparently when young men speak badly about female clients in front of other female clients, even looking through them while talking to their employees and even garnishing sympathy from other male clients... Apparently it's the female patron who should be tsk tsk'd for daring to be outspoken.
It goes without saying that I couldn't be paid to step foot into this establishment again. I just went there to get my kiddo a sandwich he liked. Megan, you and yours can continue living in your woman hating, victim blaming cave. I don't know what you think the origins are of the term of incel, but let me enlighten you. Those who it refers to came up with it themselves, and over time they've let it be known what they're about. Don't slap me on the wrist because your adult employees don't know how to act in public, much less how to be welcoming hosts to patrons.
Civility has its place. Don't confuse the lack of it with someone calling out the lack of it.
I brought my child here. He likes to visit with his grandparents. The sandwich is fine and I won't be back.
The entire time we've been here, an irate employee has been loudly complaining about a woman who called. Evidently she called him stupid and hung up. I haven't gathered much else except that for a moment when I was ordering I thought he was talking to me when he said " I told her if she felt unsafe to call the police" while looking right through me. The guy seemed unhinged and his coworkers are either commiserating or too scared/complacent with his lack of professionalism and social skills to say anything. He had no problem being kind to the male clients in the place and even got one to side with him on "women" and "the way the world is". At best it was just another awkward and uncomfortable moment in sexist America. At worst it was a real life scene of incel nation. ...
Read moreI have to give a shoutout to Jersey Mike’s Subs in Rogers, AR—this place has become a favorite for me and my wife. The service here is always top-notch, and the team works like a well-oiled machine. You can tell the managers take pride in their staff, and it really shows in the way they operate.
I usually go for the 'Jersey Shore’s Favorite,' but I recently tried the 'Cancro Special,' and it’s become my new go-to. The all-natural oven-roasted top rounds and provolone pair perfectly with the pepperoni, creating this beautiful balance of flavors. Of course, I always get it Mike’s Way—because, let’s be real, it’s just better that way. The freshness and quality they deliver absolutely put it a cut above places like Jimmy John’s. There’s just no comparison.
My wife’s favorite is the 'Big Kahuna Cheese Steak,' and it’s a showstopper every time. It’s packed with double the meat, onions, peppers, mushrooms, jalapeños, and extra white cheese. The layers of flavor in every bite are so well done—it’s a proper comfort food experience. You can feel the attention to detail in every sandwich they make.
Jersey Mike’s is doing something special with their subs. I really appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into each one. If you’re looking for a sub that hits all the right notes, this place is where...
Read moreI am disgusted by the vile, homophobic behavior displayed by the staff at Jersey Mike's. What happened here isn’t just poor customer service—this is bullying at its worst. To repeatedly disrespect someone’s gender identity (born female and identifies as female) after being corrected, then retreat to the back to mock them? That’s the behavior of scared little boys who think they can get away with hurting others.
This wasn’t an accident; it was a deliberate attack on a person’s dignity, and it's absolutely inexcusable. The staff at this location are homophobic bullies, and they should be ashamed of themselves—but folks like that don’t know shame.
No one should ever have to deal with this kind of humiliation while just trying to get a meal. The management clearly failed in taking any responsibility for this behavior, which makes it all the more appalling. Jersey Mike’s needs to reexamine their staff, their training, and their commitment to treating every customer with respect. As it stands, this place is a haven for bullies who have no business serving the public.
And let's not forget—the food is sub-par and overpriced. If you're going to treat people like garbage, at least serve something...
