Mojitos Modern Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Rogers

At 7:30 i walked in with a buddy and asked for a table. They said the wait would be about 10 minutes. They asked for my phone number and said they would call it when the table was ready. I repeated my phone number again to make sure they had it right. They do this so the main entrance isn't packed. I went to my truck and waited, after 15 min we went back In. Waited 10 more minutes. (Tried being patient) finally asked. They said they must have called the wrong number....stuff happens right🤷‍♂️

We were seated at about 8. At about 8:15 a man (assuming manager) asked if a waitress has helped us yet. When told no he asked what drinks we wanted, we asked to order and he gladly took our order. Was glad because it was another 7 minutes before the waitress got to us (21 min from being seated 🤦‍♂️). Was another 18 minutes to get the food .we only ordered 1 chicken fajita plate and 1 soft taco..... (Yes I was timing at this point, I was bored😄)

Anyone who orders fajitas know that it comes on 2 plates. One plate with the sizzling hot chicken, onion, peppers. The second plate has refried beans, rice, sour cream, etc. They also hand you 3 hot tortillas wrapped in foil.

The plate with chicken was all I got😵‍💫 no second plate or tortillas...the waitress informed me that's all that came with fajitas. So no beans, rice, or tortillas. At this point it's becoming frustrating. But she may be new or just overwhelmed...never know. So I ask for a menu. Luckily as she's going back to get one someone runs out with the missing plate.

Now the plate with beans and rice was good. Tortillas was good. But the meat/veggie plate was loaded down with veggies mostly and nobody took the time to drain the deep pool of liquid I'm the plate. So after all that time it wasn't even that good.

Was my first time and worth a shot. Maybe just new staff, off night, who knows. Definitely not a place I'm dying to return...

This is the second time we have been to this location, but I did not give 5 stars because our service was very overwhelming and not the best especially for having 2 waiters serving us. We ordered a fajita burrito and a chimicamga. The first server took our order and verified what we got. A few minutes later the 2nd server comes over to ask us to confirm parts of our order that we just confirmed with server #1. When the food came out we were given regular fajitas instead of the burrito and then the chimichanga that I have ordered both times did not come with the queso on top as it did the first time. Our server noticed our faces as we saw the error and we told him we didn't want to waste the food but that was not what we had ordered. Someone did bring me queso and apologized stating that it was supposed to be on the chimichanga. The second server also came over and asked about the fajita burrito and we again said we didn't want to waste the food or make them make anything else so it was fine. When we got the bill it had the price of the fajitas on it instead of the burrito which is really disappointing (though not a huge difference in price, not what we ordered) because that was a mistake of the 2 servers who for whatever reason verified our order twice and still got the order wrong. Yes, we could have sent the food back but we are not those people. We were very kind and considerate of every person who came to our table and as a customer we expected the same consideration back. As much as we have liked this place, that was not really fair to us and I don't know if I am willing to have their mistakes come out of...

My son ordered the carne asada, medium. it was basically a thin flank steak. It was well cooked, dry and chewy, my son didnt want to eat it. Our waitress came over and asked if every thing was alright and I expressed that he didnt like his dish and if they would swap it out for a 2nd dish like mine. She said of course and later the manager came out to ask what was wrong with the dish. There really wasnt anything wrong with it, my son just cant eat chewy well done meat. His order was replaced and the 2nd dish which was like mine was much better. This isnt what I'm even complaining about though. My complaint was, even after we were taken cared of at the beginning. We were FORGOTTEN about afterwards. We had 4 different people come clear our table and ask how the food was. The 3 tables sitting around us with the same waitress got their tickets to pay for their food before us. We even asked for a box to go and yet she never came back to give us our receipt so we could pay. Finally after 30 mins of sitting around with food already boxed, we finally got cashed out and left. The food was good, it was the service of being forgotten and making us wait that irritated...
