Scooters

I’ve traveled extensively as a cynical journalist. Now, in retirement, I try to use this wonderful travel-app to give candid-recommendations to others who are planning trips. May I suggest for 2023…an itinerary. First, if you want to feel lucky to be an American, fly to Haiti and experience the perils of poverty. Then, please, donate to charitable causes there. Return humble but thankful and reward yourself with a drive to Northwest Arkansas and help celebrate the diamond anniversary of something God and your tax-dollars have provided. It’s the Beaver Lake construction project, which began in 1963 and was opened three years later. Drive to the top of Whitney Mountain and gaze at the breathtaking view of something that has protected lives with flood control; nourished many with water; and delivered many recreational opportunities, including hunting, fishing and boating. There are many tourist attractions in several nearby communities worth visiting and a plethora of places to stay and dine. If you’re like me, you’ve spent a lot of money on machines and beans, cans and jars of products that haven’t delivered a decent cup of “joe”. I recommend you skip the bland-hotel-packets; do yourself a “flavor”; and scoot over to enjoy what the owners and team-members work hard pouring…the best-tasting liquids you’ll ever swallow! The drive-through-service is speedy at Scooters, at the intersection of Walnut and Dixieland in Rogers....

We get to the drive-thru and already - the girl at the window (we just left there and it is now 12:00 on November 2nd if the owners need to see who it was) was acting inconvenienced that she had to take our order. Then, we pull up to the window and she says nothing to us except our order total. The girl at the window has short red dyed hair with a larger build and was wearing a mask.

She handed us our drinks and then our food (an everything bagel and burrito). When she handed us our food, I asked her for 2 salsa packets while she stared directly at me for my whole sentence and then walked away, pretending not to hear me.

After she handed us our last drink, I asked her once again for salsa packets, where she said she’d have to charge us for them. Really? I’ve never once been charged for salsa at Scooter’s and I know this is false, as I literally used to work there.

So we pulled out a $5 bill and said we’d pay for them, where she said “I can’t”, and then just walked away and completely refused to finish the conversation.

By the way, we are very frequent customers. This girl is always at the window, and often works alone. She is always rude but not like this, and today she had 2 other people working with her. There was no excuse. There was only one other person behind us. It...

Had been going here and there I was enjoying the coffee till today I seen how the employees handle situations, pull up to the mic asked for a snickers expresso blender and instead of telling me that they are short on ingredients and couldn’t make what they were advertising, i instead get a drink that taste like a cup of coffee “which I’m more than capable of making at home” rather than getting the 6$ drink that I ordered. I pulled back up to the window to ask why my drink was not what I ordered and was told that they didn’t have all the correct ingredients to make the drink and that all they could do is remake the drink rather than Just refund me. If it was met with even basic customer service I would be returning but because of what I received I will be going...

Love coming to this particular Scooters. The employees are always so friendly. My go-to order is a large blended sugar-free Carmelicious, substitute for oat milk and add a scoop of protein. I have had the breakfast burritos. The spicy sausage was way too spicy for me. But the bacon breakfast burrito is so tasty. I love how many milk options they provide. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I wish they offered more Sugar-free flavors.

We saw this drive through coffee place while passing by, hence made an effort to stop by. It was a summer afternoon, and there was no wait time. We took a cold brew with creme, and a chocolate croissant. The server lady was nice. The coffee was pretty mediocre, and the amount of creme and sugar was too much for me. The croissant was small in size, crispy outside but soggy inside. Overall, nothing impressive.
