Taqueria El Molcajete — Restaurant in Rogers

Pretty basic menu. I had tripe, carnitas, and asada tacos. They were the worst tacos I ever eaten in a restaurant. Never have I had store bought tortillas in restaurants. Seriously? Even the taco trucks where I come from make fresh tortillas. The tripe tacos were okay. I asked for crispy tripe and that's what I got. The carnitas meat was dry and over cooked, the asada tasted like burnt charcoal. The atmosphere was awful.. There were a couple of young children and baby who belonged to the owners. This place is a truly outstanding hidden gem in an area that’s otherwise largely filled with chain restaurants.

The restaurant is clean, the service is extremely friendly, and they just served me the most delicious tacos al pastor I’ve eaten outside of Mexico. Prices are very reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous.

I’ll definitely be visiting again the next time I’m in town on business, and I only wish I had a place like...
