Here's a review I never thought I'd write.
This evening I decided to swing by for a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger, Chicken Sandwich, and Small Fries. The parking lot looked empty so I was expecting poor service, soggy fries, and cold sandwiches. But traffic was terrible and I just wanted the convenience.
I couldn't have been more wrong. Somehow.
The employees were very friendly, the young man that handed back my debit card said, "Here you go, boss" the fries were crispy and perfectly salted, the crispy chicken patty was crispy as well as the bacon, the tomatoes were fresh. It was seriously one of the best fast food meals I've ever had. I told my wife it reminded me of an In-And-Out burger, and she said, "From Wendy's!?" Yes, dear. I don't know how, but from a gosh darn Wendy's.
The sort of meal you get when a Wendy's first opens and everyone is doing their best. It was the original promise of fast food -- Delicious food without the need to prepare it yourself.
Oh, and they handed me the bag within 30 seconds of me pulling up to the window.
I've never been happier to be proven wrong by a Wendy's. Maybe it was a fluke, or maybe it was the manager on duty, but someone is doing something right and deserves a raise. For the love of God, give the manager a raise so that I will have reliably delicious fast food within 2 minutes of my house. I'll even tell you when I was there so management can figure out who was working:
I visited around 4:45 on Tuesday, May 21st.
I'll definitely be back, and I hope it wasn't just a dream and the food and service...
Read moreI went through the drive-thru recently and had a strange and honestly upsetting experience. The female employee working the window was initially rude, especially when we showed our Frosty key tags from Christmas that entitle us to free Frostys. She said, “I don’t care,” which took us by surprise. As we waited for our food, we saw her clearly uncomfortable—shifting around and dancing in place. Eventually, she flat-out said she really had to go to the bathroom but wasn’t allowed because of the drive-thru line. That changed everything for us. While it’s not okay to be rude to customers, we could now understand and sympathize with her mood. No one should have to choose between keeping their job and basic human needs. This isn’t just about a single employee’s bad day—it’s about how management treats their staff. If someone needs a bathroom break, let them take it. A short wait in the drive-thru is nothing compared to the discomfort and stress of being denied that dignity. Do better, Wendy’s. Take care of...
Read moreI heard about the Ghost Pepper Cheese chicken sandwich and drove over 20 miles (from Bella Vista) to try one. My mistake was not trying the sandwich before getting home. My wife and I both like spicy so imagine our surprise when we bit into this TINY, TASTELESS cheeseburger and discovered they had given us a regular cheeseburger and not a ghost pepper chicken sandwich. What a wasted trip! How can you screw up a specialty sandwich by giving a customer a standard burger and charging for the "specialty"? This was a total ripoff!!! Also, if you get the #9 Ghost pepper combo, be aware it comes with regular fries, NOT ghost pepper fries. I did, actually taste the fries before leaving and went back and got the grease filled ghost pepper fries that leak through the bag and are a soggy tasteless excuse for fries. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT...
