We have driven past Provino's a hundred times over the years and have always wanted to give it a try, but for some reason, kept going to the Italian restaurant down the street because we knew we liked it and we liked getting the unlimited salad and bread with our meals. My mother-in-law wanted to go to Provino's for Mother's Day and I can assure, we will not be driving past Provino's again! They far exceeded our expectations! We accidentally got skipped on the seating list and the manager made sure we got seated immediately and he even put in an order for a complimentary appetizer sampler for us, which was delicious. It came with crispy fried zucchini, fried artichoke hearts, fried cheese ravioli and mozzarella sticks. Then came the salad with their house Italian dressing that comes with so many different toppings and the most DELICIOUS garlic rolls I've ever eaten! They are soft, warm, yeast rolls brushed with olive oil and lots of roasted garlic. They were amazing and you can have more salad and rolls if you want! I had chicken parmigiana with fettuccine alfredo. The chicken was tender and delicious and the fettuccine was super creamy and yummy. The other members of my party had a sampler that came with chicken parmigiana, fettuccine alfredo and lasagna and they both enjoyed their meals and said the lasagna was great! To top off the great experience was our server, Mary. She was super friendly, attentive and offered suggestions to help us decide. She took such great care of us, it was the best service we have had in a long time! We can't wait to go back and try...
Read moreDinner at Provinos was nothing short of amazing. Seated within 15 minutes of arriving at a quaint 2 seater booth. Intimate and romantic.
Ordered a glass of pinot grigio and s.o ordered a beer. We choose the calamari for our appetizer. Not a heavy batter and very tender. The marinara was to die for. Chunky and bursting with flavor, and slightly warm.
Salad was brought next, a large bowl full of chopped green mix. Onion, mushrooms, beets and chick peas topped with mozzarella. House made Italian dressing, I would be lying if I said I didn't want to lick the bowl.
Dinner arrived shortly after along with our rolls. I ordered the Cioppino s.o ordered chicken parmasian. His was cooked perfectly and he cleaned his plate. Mine was out of this world. I've never had Cioppino before and I would recommend to any seafood lover. It is brought out in the pot it is cooked in. Packed full of muscles, claims, shrimp and snapper with a few scallops all on top of linguini pasta.
To top of the already amazing food, customer service was top notch. Haley was our server and she attentive and charming. Very welcoming and great conversation and banter. She definitely has an knack for hospitality.
