I recently had the pleasure of visiting Margaritaville at the Detroit Airport, and I can't say enough about the fantastic service we received, especially from Thomma. Traveling with a service dog can often be challenging, but Thomma went above and beyond to ensure our experience was seamless and enjoyable.

From the moment we walked in, Thomma greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. She was incredibly attentive, taking the time to understand our needs and ensuring our field agent and their service dog were well taken care of. The menu offered a great variety of delicious options, and Thomma was knowledgeable about the dishes, making excellent recommendations.

What truly made our visit special was the wonderful conversation with Thomma. She shared awesome stories about her own dogs, which made me feel like I was talking to a lifelong friend. Her passion and warmth added a personal touch that made our experience unforgettable.

The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, providing a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the airport.

Lol — I find it funny that people will rate airport food within the same standard as a normal restaurant. I have a lot of family and friends who have worked in the airlines/at airports and the amount of security clearance and movement people and things (food, everything) is extensive. Please take the quality of ANYTHING you find at the airport with a gd grain of salt!!!

All that said … I frequent DTW and have to go to the end of the terminal for United flights. This is the only spot and it’s very, very chill. Can always count on getting a quick drink here before the flight and not feeling like I won’t be waited on. The bar is always clean. They have outlets so you can plug in and charge up.

They also have a steel pan player every so often and he sounds GREAT! Don’t know who this dude is but bravo to you, sir.

Sarah was absolutely fantastic. Great spot to stop before going away on vacation. The restaurant is set back in the airport and surrounded by huge windows, allowing in natural light, and a view to the planes taking off. The music sets the tone of the restaurant as it’s up-beat and feels like you are already somewhere tropical, it set the tone for our vacation in a good way. The drinks are good, pricey, but that’s expected in the airport. We did not try any of the food, but it looked appetizing. Stop here before your next tropical trip, it will really get your excited Make a change from your traditional meal and order good cheeseburgers and perfectly cooked chicken at this restaurant. You will be offered delicious margaritas. A lot of guests find that the staff is attentive at Air Margaritaville. Here you will pay democratic prices.
