Ok so first their coffee machine was broken so they said they couldn't make any hot coffee on a Saturday morning. Then the cold brew was absolutely terrible like there was sour milk in it, and the croissant was dry and clearly had been there a couple days. Didn't even taste like coffee. Also it seemed their managers only job was to kick people out of a seating area they had arbitrarily blocked off. She was quite rude about it as well. Love Zingerman’s food and coffee, and the cafe is in a nice quiet spot, but the service I received at this location was sub-par. I asked to break a $50 so I could leave a cash tip, and when I checked my change afterward I was missing $10. Given the cold greeting I received from the staff, I didn’t feel comfortable asking the staff to double check their cash drawer. They’re getting a bigger tip than I intended, which isn’t the worst outcome at the new year…but it will make me think twice about...

Forget Starbucks buy local. It is 5:40am and these ladies working today are so nice and genuine! I got a small hazelnut latte (crushed ice 🩵) and it was so good; not sweet and the espresso isn’t burnt which I really appreciate.
