Latrina, the only attendant in the shop during the morning rush, is a hero. Your manager needs to leave the office and lead from the front. Adjust your scheduling.
This location is the busiest as it opens before any other locations for breakfast in this terminal. So, the line at 5AM was long. Latrina, who worked as a cashier/ barista and sandwich maker, handled it best. It became clear to me that your scheduling needs optimization. You can't realistically expect one person to drive everything during rush hour at the airport when everyone is going to your spot for coffee and a sandwich.
The sad part to me is that 20 minutes into my wait in line. The manage came into the line. Immediately began nit picking at basic things. In front of the entire line. It made me uncomfortable and demonstrated a lack of leadership.
One thing for example which is just plain idiotic, because of the rush of people there was a line of receipts at the sandwich prep station. Which frankly didn't disturb the flow of the one person who had been there the whole time. Another one, the associate had just used the cream cheese to make a bagel for a customer. The manager took the opportunity to complain that it wasn't in the fridge.
What did the manager do? Instead of saying good job! How can I help? And jumping into the line, she went into the backroom and sat down. Instead of supporting the one person who's taking care of the customer, she took the opportunity to drill down the associate.
I did my best to say “great work” to the Latrina to get her hopes up. Because clearly she was demoralized after that. I hope leadership takes this as a free advice on how to hire right, schedule right, and...
Read moreYeah sorry, gotta echo a lot of what was said here.
I too was upcharged for the Large, after I was told they were out of Medium cups. I assumed I'd just get my cup filled up halfway or something. But no, then they tell you this, you ARE paying for whatever size cup you get. the coffee was pretty weak and nigh tasteless, also. I guess because they had to fill the large cup all the way with a medium amount of material and add some water..
But additionally, the SEC croissant sandwich was worse than something you'd get at an amusement park. Croissant was torn up, falling apart. Sausage covered about 50% of the bread. And I guess the egg and cheese were about what you'd expect.
I do hate to leave bad reviews but wow, I cannot explain how disappointed I was with this place. If the food and coffee were just bad, that's one thing. But throw in the duplicity of the overcharge, and I say AVOID this place...
Read moreThere wasn't anything positive about my visit this morning. The baristas' attitudes were pretty poor. I ordered a hot chocolate and cup of water. I was told I'm not allowed to have water unless I buy the bottles. Then they charged me for the hot chocolate only to come back out and say they were out (at 5:30am) so did I want a coffee or what? I took a refund. I grabbed a hot chocolate from a vending machine and came back in to ask if I could maybe have a lid (even offered to pay for it). The barista said it probably wouldn't fit and when I asked if I could try, she sighed, gave me one, and walked away. I'm not usually one to complain, but I don't see how this place could stay in business if not for the resolving clientele of...
