I was so excited when I found out my plane was parking at a gate close to Mod Pizza. When you don’t have too many options in an airport that are gluten free it makes it extra special when the food is also delicious. Ten minutes before closing I was about to walk in to quickly order a pizza to go. There was no one in the check-out line and only a few people still waiting for their orders. Before I even got the chance to walk inside, I was greeted by an employee who, loudly enough for me to hear from outside, said, “Don’t come in here.” And then repeated herself. Honestly rude doesn’t even begin to describe it, I was appalled. The lack of customer service in a blatant statement such as this speaks volumes. I expressed that I was willing to wait the 10 minutes for the pizza but as the gate agent started to do the final boarding, I said I would take it as is. The mtg lifted the bottom.The bottom of the pizza was golden brown and the cheese was hot. The manager on duty refused to box up the pizza. Stating it wasn’t done. I said it’s fine, I will take it as is. She continued so I had to ask another staff to box the pizza. It turned out that the pizza was perfectly cooked for me! Do you tell a person you can’t have a medium rare burger. I only prepare well done burgers at this restaurant! I never had a conversation about the temperature of a pizza.
