National Coney Island - DTW - Evans Terminal — Restaurant in Romulus

I wish they had a 0 option for customer service! The so-called manager, James at the Airport location (who lacks managerial skills in the worst way) put us out of the restaurant and REFUSED our refund for untouched food. This is by far the worse experience I've ever had in my life at a restaurant. Regretfully, I have yet to find a real reason other than this had to be racially motivated! We walked up ordered food and as we left realized they had a dine in a few doors down. I decided to sit down and eat the food we'd ordered. Some one walked up said you can't dine here, I was on the phone and assumed he was trying to say they'd be closing soon so I hurried to finish and leave. Then to my surprise this abomination to the restaurant industry, James, walks up and says you have to leave. I'm thinking like huh? He then says leave or I'll call the police... I'm thinking like what just happened???? I then say if I can't eat then please refund my food that was still in the bag untouched. He refused. I asked him to call the police or whomever until I get my refund. He then told the police no to the refund . They asked me what the issue was with this restaurant- I had no clue!! Corporate and lawyers will be called asap. I won't be put out of anywhere I spend money at and especially for no reason! Never again National Coney Island - you won't get the opportunity to disrespect my hard earned dollars nor me! I have it on video I cannot...

Easily the best food option in the North Terminal of DTW. Also speaking on all of the National Coney Island brand; very accessible menu for most any dietary restrictions. I focus more on the vegetarian and vegan options, see those are extremely limited in almost any airport. NCI carries Morningstar Southwest Veggie burger patties, Beyond Burgers, and their own southwest veggie chili which consists of black beans, corn, tomatoes, and garbanzo beans.

I’ve frequented this eatery and have modified my order a few times without question. Today I ordered Veggie Chili Fries and I had a little party by myself in the corner of the gate. The fact that I can eat heartily while in care of my dietary choices at the airport really is a wonderful privilege in this modern day of traveling.

National Coney Island has a very convenient take out window as well as a full dining room with full service. Currently there are only a few options open for food and beverage in the North Terminal. This is a superb option considering the other mostly just offer burgers, pizza, and...

I walked up to the restaurant and there was no host / hostess present. So I went through the checkout line that I saw the only other customer in.

After receiving my food, I go to sit down only in the restaurant, only to hear a female employee (who was sitting in a booth note restaurant) say “once you order takeout, you can’t sit down.” I responded “no one was here, so I ordered food in the only line available.” She replied “you can’t sit down.”

This is the type of customer service that will absolutely make me avoid coming back to a restaurant.

I wasn’t greeted at the host stand, and I order food, only to be rejected a seat by a random lady yelling across the restaurant… you need to do better.
