My fiancé and I ordered lunch for our family through Grub Hub and we are absolutely disappointed, frustrated, and extremely upset. Mind you, this is not the first time this restaurant has messed up our entire order either. Today I ordered the chicken strip salad and even paid for extra ranch and extra pita bread. Lo and behold, I get to the bottom of the bag and there’s no salad dressing whatsoever and I am one pita bread short. Next, we specially ordered two bacon cheeseburgers and asked to have the toppings placed on the side in a separate container. Seems like a simple request, right? Nope, we were so wrong. They couldn’t even do that and literally placed all the toppings right next to each burger in the same container. We also ordered two fries to go with each of our kids bacon cheeseburgers. One was well done and the other was undercooked. The undercooked fries were so soggy and floppier than a fish out of water. How do you screw up something as simple as french fries? Last, but not least, my fiancé ordered the country fried steak meal. He specifically asked for corn and if they didn’t have that, to please add more mashed potatoes instead. He added that if they couldn’t accommodate his request, to just not give him any vegetable at all. You would think that they would of paid attention to the online order, but no. They literally put green beans in the same container as the entire meal. As I stood there using a fork to remove the green beans, I came across what appeared to be a bone of some kind. We were charged an extra $1.50 fee for “specially ordering” all of our meals and this restaurant couldn’t get one thing right that we asked for. After all of this craziness, I decided to call up the restaurant and stress my concern (pertaining to this weird bone in the beans) and displeasure about the entire order. I was met with a disgruntled woman who claim’s repeatedly that I am wrong about the number of pita breads, but says “I guess I spaced on the ranch dressing’s”. Then this woman had the audacity to place blame on the company the canned green beans come from, instead of apologizing for the mishap. It is literally your job to check the food and ensure not only the quality, but to make sure it’s safe for consumer consumption. Instead of acting like a grown adult and accept responsibility, you chose to slam the phone down, hang up on me, and proceed to act like a giant toddler throwing a tantrum. Not that it matters to most who might read this review, but with all the food we ordered…how does 4 mini napkins suffice? My family and I will never order food again from this restaurant. I also will be calling the health department to have this place investigated for the mysterious bone that somehow appeared in my fiancé’s green beans. Please be extra careful if you choose to order food in-house, through takeout, or from delivery...

Amanda our server had provided some choice suggestions and we tried them all. The chicken pot pie soup in a bowl was phenomenal. It was thick like a chowder and a spicy pepper, black peppercorn after taste. The soup spoon made a difference too because it was very thick. I want another bowl already! Amanda also suggested the grilled, chicken caesar pita. The only way this could be improved would be to use shredded parmessan cheese vs. fine parmessan cheese. Thankfully I had enough for the second day... I made a salad of the leftover chicken. Thank you Amanda for your suggestions! We will see you soon.
p.s. it's chilly so you my need a sweater, like me.
p.s.s. there are at least three other Leo's we could dine at... this is preferred location. All the silverware matches too, not sure why I noticed this but I did.
Priscilla was our excellent waitress. My husband never had to ask for a refill on his pop, because Priscilla was always nearby to check on us. There was NOT an extra charge on refills either. He ordered a coney dog and loose chili only, but received two coney dogs. Priscilla immediately remedied the oops with a loose chili. My fried chicken wrap was simply delicious. A large amount of chicken. I was able to eat twice...
Read moreThis review is a rebuttal to a negative Facebook post that I read. Ofcourse when I read that post on Facebook I had some misgivings. I have been dining here for awhile. Always the food was delicious, service excellent, the atmosphere very pleasant and friendly. This post on Facebook claimed the operation was dirty, even filthy. For many years of my life I worked in food service, I would call myself an expert. I have a serve safe certificate and graduated from culinary arts school. Today when I went to Leo's I asked if the manager would allow me to do a walk thru...and he did, post haste. He actually was the owner and gave me a quick tour. It looked like most cooking areas I've seen in my years, clean for the most part, with obvious signs they make food here. For me there were no issues of filth...period. All kitchens have some small issues here and there, as they are preparing your food as quickly as possible. And then they go and tend to areas that need attention...this is what I saw here. I will continue to go to Leo's in romulus with confidence. So haters need to look at themselves instead of trying to burn a place where people's livelihoods are at stake. Come see...
