If you wan to spend all night in the bathroom this is a great place to go. I’m actually quite surprised at how high of ratings this place has. I understand restaurants can be old and out of date, for some that enhances the customers visit. This wasn’t one of them. This place was DIRTY! Sure the servers and employees were nice but that was only when they came to get your order. Ours never returned after he took our order. The staff at this place acts like they don’t even want to be working. The food here is disgusting. You guys were lucky there wasn’t a health inspector that came in that night I did. The salad and soup bar is one of the WORST decisions one can make if they are going to eat here. I was absolutely DISGUSTED in it. All the fruit was fermenting. The pineapple was brown and dried up. All the lettuce was wilted and gross. The soup was terrible, even the crackers tasted like garbage. How often do you guys change those out? They were all stale!!! It looked like this salad and soup bar hadn’t been touched in over a week. It didn’t matter if I ate what i thought was safe I still got food poisoning from this place and yes I am 110% sure it was from this restaurant. I live across the US but I still want a full...

I do not normally write reviews especially bad ones, but this place was the worst. The server couldn't remember our order, even after she wrote it down. Brought out raspberry iced tea after I corrected her twice and she still brought it out wrong. The broccoli soup tasted salty and rancid and when we told the server she got defensive even after we said we just wanted her to be aware and did not ask to substitute. Chicken parm, spaghetti was cold, chicken was luke warm around the outside and cold in the middle, also tasted like freezer burned. Onion rings tasted freezer burned and cold and dry. Mac and cheese was cold and did not match the description. Fish n chips were okay, not great but ok. Shakes were good. Worst Big Boy experience ever and we will not be back. When asked by the cashier, I told her and she took 10% off but had a little attitude as well. I did not need a discount, I needed good service and properly cooked food. I pay a lot less at any local place and get seriously much better food and service. Ps. The place was not very busy and seemed well staffed. 3 of my family had 2 bites of that rancid soup and are now hoping we don't get...

If i could give this no stars i would!!! I've tried giving this place a few chances and every time I'm more and more disappointed!!! Last night went there with my family all together 8 of us, they had two serves waiting on us because they were bored, both servers talked about their life, one about how drunk her sister used to get taking her out trick or treating and the other asking us if we think its ok that she goes and works out with a guy when she has a boyfriend "they do not get it on" she claims, in the mist of talking she forgot my moms soup then tried to leave our food sitting in the window so she can hurry up and bring my mom soup ugh anyways that's the services it sucks!!! Food is terrible I can't even express how nasty it is we had to send back two things, one was because the cook didn't know how to make a patty melt really!?!? I say they need to get rid of the managers fire all the staff and bring in a fresh new start, hopefully they can get their problems resolved soon. If not they will be shut...

During our recent stay at the Sheraton Detroit Metro Airport, we decided to eat at the Big Boy restaurant located next door. The convenience of the location was definitely a plus after a long day of travel. The experience itself, however, was mixed. Service was friendly, and the restaurant offered the familiar Big Boy comfort food menu, but the overall quality felt average. The food was edible but not particularly memorable, and it lacked the freshness and consistency we expected. Given the close proximity to a major airport hotel, we had hoped for a bit more polish and efficiency. What stood out most was that this ended up being our only option for breakfast since the Sheraton restaurant was closed during the daytime. That added to the disappointment, as Big Boy didn’t quite deliver the quality you’d hope for when it becomes the fallback dining choice. Overall, Big Boy served its purpose as a quick, convenient option, but it wouldn’t be my first choice if there were other nearby restaurants of higher quality.

I've now been to all three Big Boys. First, Frisch's in Lexington Kentucky when I was at the University of Kentucky, the Country Clib of the South. Then, when I lived in Los Angeles the first time, I'd go to Bob's Big Boy on Wilshire. And now my Life is Complete with a visit to Michigan Big Boy in Romulus near the Detroit Airport. I tried the three different sliders, all delicious, and the beef patties were cooked perfectly. Thicker than I thought they'd be and juicy. They are very filling as an entree by themselves with a side of fries. The salad bar looked great, but I didn't have it. I was there about 9pm, the service was great, and they also had a small gift shop with sports jerseys and other items. Earlier in the day, I did a 4 mile walk and snagged my pic with the iconic Big Boy out front.

Honestly what a heptic night the only good thing was my server (Paradyice). Food was not good, and chef was constantly yelling at one of the expedite person and that person would yell back and throw stuff like a child, very unprofessional. Service was slow to get food and by time you got it it was cold. They offer a 10% discount and when I got it on my bill of 25,94$ it only saved me 60 cents that's below the 10%. I tried to pay my server but this guy slash cook comes out and insisted I pay him instead. Overall Paradyice was friendly and doing her best while the restaurant didn't give good food or even athmosphere. On a Saturday night at supper time and it was dead. Makes sense why it was empty. Oh not to mention they want you to fill out a survey but when you try it doesn't even work
