After living in town for years, we decided to order pizza from this place for the first time, and it was definitely an "experience". We ordered via the website, and the first thing we noticed was that there is ZERO description on the menu regarding what is on each pizza, so we hoped for the best as they are well known in the community. We placed an order for a Basil pizza and a Hawaiian, nothing extra, no notes nor dietary restrictions. 5 mins later, we received a call from the restaurant. Without skipping a beat, she employee exploded at us for constantly adding the "deluxe pizza" to our order and confuses their staff, accusing us of constantly making this mistake on our order which I had to remind her, after waiting for her finish talking to a customer like her child, that this is the first time we've order from them. After the phone call and having the order amended, I checked the website again, as we didn't make any changes to the order, we found out that the website FORCES you to choose a deluxe pizza for every order (except for the deluxe pizza). So I did them a favor by immediately calling them back to share the error so that they can fix the issue, and other customers won't be spoken to the way I was spoken to for mistakes clearly not their fault. We thought all was good until we received our food. Granted, the delivery speed was great, but what we got was not what we were expecting. Neither of our pizza came with any sauces, not even some on the side. We thought it was a mistake at first, so we placed a call to the restaurant just to have the same employee prior tell us with full confidence that neither Hawaiian nor Basil pizza comes with sauce, and that we should have made a note to add sauce...to our pizza... To sum it up, make sure you always ask for sauce unless you wants a giant glorified...
Read moreAt first wasn't sure if we were coming in thru the correct door. Coming in the restaurant the decor and layout was not aesthetically welcoming. I ordered the priciest item on the menu, the Surf and Turf. They were out of filet mignon and was offered the NY strip and a complimentary shrimp dish. The lobster tail was the size of a jumbo shrimp, the NY strip was overcooked and tough even though I said Medium well. The steak was tasty but a little difficult to cut and eat as it cooled down. The veal parmesan was not tender but not too bad, flavor wise there was nothing outstanding, husband stated it was "ok". While I'm not Italian, I grew up in a predominantly Italian neighborhood and taught authentic Italian cooking. I've had my share of delicious Italian restaurants throughout New York Cityband Brooklyn. There was nothing really authentically amazing or outstanding about these dishes. The shrimp dish was delicious, though that is a simple dish to prepare. White wine sauce and garlic was the way to go with the shrimp and it proved tasty. Staff was nice. For a Thursday night the restaurant was dead and there were room dividers set up all over, it looked and felt awkward. The pizza slice ordered for the little children at the table tasted like frozen pizza. There was nothing really that would draw us back here. I hope they improve some things. Seems like it has potential. Looks like they rent it out for parties and meetings a lot. There was a small meeting by some corporate people taking place and two ladies walked in inquiring about renting a space for a party. The pasta dish was a good portion and a lot of it was left over enough to be able take home. We don't throw out food so we did that with the spaghetti left from the veal parmesan. This is the most detailed and honest review...
Read moreI will start with our family has had many catering events at this facility, baby showers, bridal shower, retirement dinner, 90th birthday party. Today 2/9/25 l catered a baby shower for 36 guests. Started out very nice, staff was very cordial and helpful. Event was to run from 1-5 PM. Well the troubles began between 3:30 and 5 when the food was all packed away by the employees even though there was still at least an hour and a half left of the affair. The other events we had the food stayed out, and at the end of the affair since the food was paid for by me, I was given containers if I wished to take something home. At the baby shower today when the father of the baby came back to help load the gifts in his vehicle we asked if we could make him a plate. Was told the food was given to the employees to take home and made us even pay for extra for a plate for the father. This is very bad practice since I was the one that paid for the whole catering event to begin with, why was the food taken away an hour and a half before the end of the affair and Why would I not be asked if I wanted any of the remaining leftovers, prior to it being given to the staff. All of the attendees were appalled by this. I will say that we will never host another affair at this establishment nor will any of the guests that witnessed this treatment. Seems like they just wanted us gone after a few hours and became very uncaring....
