Chicken, and Mac were cold. Mashed potatoes were stone cold and the gravy was a jelly consistency no liquid. Very disappointing after reading good reviews. My driver picked it up as soon as it was ready and drove 4 minutes to me and I met him outside and unpacked the food right away and it was cold so it wasn’t a Uber issue. Didn’t feel safe eating any of it besides half the prepackage sweet potato pie that had a weird taste so I just threw it all away. The store closed on Uber right after I received my order so I don’t know if they were closing early or just didn’t want to heat up my food but I’d rather them reject it then serve me cold food. Even a 30 minute drive couldn’t get the gravy cold enough to form into a jelly consistency. Ive frequented this establishment for years but recently their quality has gone down. Today i ordered potato wedges and an 8 pic fried chicken. I did call after placing my door dash order to see if maybe they could drop fresh chicken-the person answering said the chicken just came out the fryer. My order arrived and my kids were all ready to eat-i open the wedges to see burnt potatoes not even cut in the shape of wedges. Some so burnt if i squeezed then they crumbled to dust. The chicken was old and cold. Not just out of the fryer-i only live 5 mins from them but im home bound. I called them to ask what is going on. The same guy answered with his snotty attitude. Definitely one of the greatest fried chicken places around, I believe it's family owned and it's pretty clean. The food tasted amazing got the 10 pc fried chicken mix and the number 13 popcorn chicken meal! They fill the boxes up so much they need to tape the cover down! The prices are absolutely reasonable and won't break the bank. They may have increased prices a bit from what I've seen online but it's still reasonable so can't even really complain there. Very happy I found this gem, it's a hole in the wall type of restaurant, more of a takeout place, only has 2 tables to sit at if you want to dine-in.
