The food was good, no better or worse than other Mexican food we've had. The green sauce was great, the fajitas meat was good, the beans and rice were basic and a bit bland. The chilli con queso was acceptable, but only because I really love cheese. It tasted like it was 95% Velveeta with 1 teaspoon of Rotel mixed in. The waitress who served us was absolutely terrible and inexcusably rude. When she first brought us our menus she almost entirely ignored my fiance while speaking to me instead, even though my fiance was trying to speak with her. At first we assumed she didn't speak English so I went ahead and placed our drink order in Spanish. Shortly thereafter we heard her speaking in English while serving a family of African American customers at a nearby table. After that, each time she came to our table we both spoke to her exclusively in English trying to encourage her to speak in English to us as well. It was obvious she understood and spoke English perfectly but she would only respond to us in Spanish. She spoke to other customers in English but refused to do so at our table. It was equally obvious that my fiance does not speak Spanish. She was deliberately and blatantly rude to my fiance for absolutely no reason. I do not know if this was some kind of racist behavior because my fiance is Caucasian while I am Peruvian or if she treated my fiance that way because she dislikes mixed race couples, or if our waitress had some other excuse for her behavior but it was absolutely unacceptable. I wanted to speak to the manager before we left but we were both very tired and just wanted to get home for the night. Rather than complain to the manager my fiance left a note on the receipt explaining that we chose not to tip her at all because of her deliberately and inexcusable rudeness. We eat at a different/new restaurant every single week and have been doing so as part of a date night for about a year and a half now and this is the absolute first time we have ever not tipped our server, even when the service provided was very poor. At the same time, neither of us had ever been treated so poorly by one of our servers prior to this experience. Based on the behavior of our waitress I think a 1 star review would be appropriate. Because the food was good I'm giving this place a 2 star review. I hope our waitress is the only employee at this restaurant who behaves this way. If she isn't I would suggest thinking twice before visiting this place depending on your race or if you are part of a mixed race couple but honestly, without knowing the cause of her behavior I don't know for sure why she behaved the...

We start off this epic tale by my group of friends munching on some chips and salsa and their green cilantro spicy dip. We decide to order some queso. The queso was...ok (Pro tip, mix the queso with that green cilantro spicy dip). We munching away, having a good time with good company. We end up refilling our chips a few times before getting our order taken...a good 20 minutes after we sat down.
We put in an order for one order of fajitas. I believe it comes with chicken and beef. We ask our waiter 1 (numbers will make sense soon) if we can replace the chicken with beef (making it all beef fajitas) and if we can make it spicy. She says it shouldn't be a problem. AWESOME! we ready to eat soon.
And then...we wait. and we keep eatin the chips and dip. And we keep refilling the chips. Our dipping sauces are nearing their end. And then they end. and still....we wait.
30-40 minutes later, we ask for our order. They tell us 5 more minutes. 10 minutes later, our order comes out. With chicken and beef fajitas. And no spice. We ask Waiter 1 to correct the order, and she doesn't seem to understand and lets us know she'll be right back.
We wait some more! And eventually ask Waiter 2 and explain to her the whole situation. We ask her if it's going to take more time, we'd rather just pay for our queso and chips and head out. She goes back, talks to manager, tells us she'll bring out beef fajitas with the extra spice.
5 minutes later, we get...spicy beef fajitas. And man...they were so spicy, we couldn't eat them because of the smoky fumes. Apparently, the cook had put raw habanero peppers on the sizzling plate before piling on onions and the beef. The raw habanero peppers smoked up, spreading their fumes far and wide. When the extra beef fajita plate arrived to our table, we all began coughing, tearing up from the fumes.
We see the other waiters and patrons laughing at us. BUT THEY WEREN'T LAUGHING FOR LONG! Because the fumes were so bad, that pretty soon the entire restaurant was also coughing and tearing up from the spicy smoke. To the extent that some patrons actually stepped outside the restaurant because of how bad it was. After a few minutes, Waiter 3 comes by, apologizes, and takes away this nuclear spice bomb of beef fajitas.
We speak to the general manager who was actually pretty nice! Seemed like the cook was out to get us for some reason.
Great place to come to for...
Read moreFajitas were salty Red salsa had no salt Staff (at least the three ladies that worked with us) doesn't speak English. Which was fine I just had to translate for my table. I asked for a fajita tostada and got a fajita ensalada. Which was also fine, because I don't like to send food back and I felt it was an honest mistake on the waitresses part (tostada, ensalada sound the same). The waitress did want to get me what I ordered but all our food had already arrived and I didn't want my kids to feel bad eating with out me. We did feel a little abandoned, meaning it took a while to get refills and be checked on. The woman at the register asked if everything was OK. I said yes and handed her my debit card. Then she said give me a minute and walked away. She did this 2 or 3 times until I said what is the problem. She said sometimes the waitresses miss up and charge the wrong thing. I said we were charged everything we ate even though I asked for a fajita tostada and received a fajita salad which again I said was fine because we were charged what we ate. Then she got upset and snapped and said in Spanish " YOU SEE! I ASKED YOU IF EVERYTHING WAS OK AND NOW YOU ARE SAYING IT WASN'T! I told her it was a mistake and it was OK because I was being charged exactly what we ate. She said "NO! YOU STILL HAVE A TOSTADA ON THE RECEIPT AND I ASKED IF ALL WAS OK" I told her we asked for a shredded chicken tostada and a fajita tostada and the fajita tostada was not charged because we didn't get it. Then she walked away. The waitress came back and snapped at me and said " I told you I would get you your tostada!" I told her this has nothing to do with her I just want...
