County Gables is a place which originated in Granite Bay, California for years in the before the 1990's through the 2000's. The restaurant's namesake was nestled on the corner of Folsom Road and Douglas Blvd about a few blocks away from the Douglas Blvd entrance to Folsom Lake. While the Counrty Gables Shopping Center still exists in Granite Bay, the name stuck with the restaurant in Roseville.
Similar to a Denny's, Coco's restaurant. They since relocated to Roseville, a few blocks away from and between Old Town Roseville's Main Street and the "All American Speedway" at (formally Roseville Country Fairgrounds) now known as "Thrpoo Grounds".
In 2009, they suffered through a fire that totalled the location along with a pizza place. They rebuilt and has been back for quite a while. So glad they are back including many families that visit on a weekly basis.
The service staff is very accommodating, helpful and friendly. The price point for similar items from any Breakfast - Lunch business around the area. I and my family fondly love this place. My wife and I have been visiting for over 30 years.
I give Country Gables a 5 Stars rating. The food and service is great and they support Military and Veterans by honoring a discount. To this day, my family still goes. Thank you...
Read moreI've been coming here since I was a child and it used to be great. The service was incredible and food was good. Sadly it has gone downhill and has only gotten worse each time my family has gone to eat. Today was the last time I will bring my family to eat here. The service was abysmal, my steak was overcooked, 3 out of the 4 meals we ordered had something wrong with them but worst of all our server was terrible. She was rude and when informed that our meals were incorrect she didn't believe us then proceeded to make us feel as if it was our fault and fixing our orders was a burden. Upon leaving there was another customer and his family outside leaving and they had the same complaints we did, food taking forever to arrive, incorrect orders, and rude wait staff. I miss the old servers that actually cared about their customers. I hope County Gables is able to go back to its former glory because I have great memories here as a child and was hoping to share that with...
Read moreRandomly chose this place from the list of restaurants near me on my phone, and we stumbled upon a great breakfast joint! We were seated right away, the service was excellent, and the food delicious. I tried the corned beef hash which said it was home made, and it was the best I ever had. There's hash browns in it so having potatoes as a side was too much potato, so maybe next time I'll skip the potatoes and get toast instead. I didn't care for the side of fruit, lots of pineapple, a few grapes, a little strawberry and some melon. My boyfriend got the chicken fried steak and he liked that too. The servers were very friendly and on it- when I saw their decaf pot was almost empty I said to please brew another pot and they did it right away. They have lunch too. Will hopefully go back and try their 'broasted' chicken which...
