I typically have positive experiences at this location. However, with the closure of the Starbucks location in Cedar Riverside, much of the leftover customer base has sought out this location as the best nearby alternative. Notably, it is one of the few locations in the Twin Cities that stays open until 10 p.m. post-pandemic. One thing the old Cedar Riverside Starbucks did correctly was adjust its hours during Ramadan to 12 a.m. This was the standard before COVID. I visited yesterday evening on 4-10-2022. To say they were swamped with customers would be an drastic understatement.
There were people lined up to the bathrooms in the lobby area & cars wrapped around the block for the drive-through. Here is my question: why can't this location adopt a similar schedule as the old Cedar Riverside location to accommodate the annual Ramadan rush in the name of inclusivity for underrepresented demographic communities? Starbucks stands to gain a generous profit from the local Muslim American community if it adjusted its hours for Ramadan considering the diversity of the area demographics. Think of the public relations material!
Here is a headline idea worth considering: Starbucks adjusts to meet the needs of its community by localizing to meet demands driven by local Muslim-American demographics in a world struggling to overcome...
Read moreLOVE this location. as cheesy as it sounds i always drive off with a smile, the staff is so friendly & i bet that’s hard to maintain dealing with demanding customers in demanding morning or afternoon hours. i always go in the drive-thru & ive never been stuck in line too long which is a huge plus for me. good service & good coffee is a great combination. if i had a complaint it would be that the chicken wrap boxes- i wish there were more of (when they are out & it’s only 2pm) & when they do have them it’s very obviously 2 days old because the tortilla is soft/soggy & my cucumbers & apples are changing color & texture making it not so appetizing & not worth my $ when i’m expecting something fresh when i’m paying $8 for it.. i’ve tried other food items here & no other is my favorite but that dang chicken wrap box. when i get a perfect box with my coffee it strangely enough puts me in a very good mood ! & i’m happy enough that a large iced coffee doesn’t cost me...
Read moreI had terrible first impression at Portillo’s, so we came to Starbucks to make up for it. I have been going to Starbucks for over ten years now, and I almost never have been disappointed.
Today I ordered an Iced Matcha Tea Latte, venti with light ice and 16 total scoops of matcha powder, four times regular recipe. If that sounds gross to you, remember that Starbucks puts cane sugar in its matcha powder, so with 16 scoops it’s more a green tea dessert.
Now we are just parked off to the side facing the intersection. I see Caribou across the street. Someone in consulting once said to me that Caribou does everything Starbucks does, but 12 months later and worse execution. I only get Caribou’s coffee when there’s nothing better in the immediate area.
Today is Friday, March 31, 2023 and we are just watching the rain fall on the windshield, listening to Classical MPR and enjoying our Starbucks.
Thanks baristas!!!...
