**(read update at the bottom). This was 4 months ago: We have come here for many years for birthdays, but we will not be back. We had a party of 13 and apparently they only do parties of 12 or less and they wanted to sit ONE person on the other side of the restaurant. Are you kidding me?! (When one of the 13 people was a baby)! They refused to sit our party until ALL people in the party are there. What does it matter?! As long as one person is there then the rest will trickle in as they get there! I have never heard of such ridiculous things! Lastly they wouldn't let me take my Margarita to go when many other places do. It was too big for me to finish in one sitting. Waaaay too many rules to just eat at a restaurant. Their food is only mediocre per almost any chain restaurant. This particular location is always jam packed with people no matter what time or day of the week you go. We will take our business elsewhere since you want to place so many rules on a birthday that is supposed to be a fun occasion! Just sad what this place has turned into. Very down hill from what it used to be.
Update: 1/13/ 2025 We haven't been back since my initial review however, we went back yesterday because my daughter insisted this is where she wanted her birthday dinner. I called to see if they now take reservations as we had a party of 14 this time...they still do not do reservations they put you on a "wait-list" basically just a different name. Same issue when I said we had a party of 14 they said they only wait-list up to 12 and that 14 would have to be split into 2 different parties with two different names and numbers associated with the parties and that we would not be guaranteed to all be seated together or at the same time. I asked to speak to a manager and she was great. She goes by "Nugget". She said their seating manager was on their way in and they work try extra hard to get our big party seated together. When we arrived one half of the party was sat and the other half waited about 10 mins for people to leave in order to be sat near the other table. When I initially spoke with them.omntje phone around 3:45pm they said they weren't that busy..when we got there at 5pm it was so crowded. Just wall to wall people. Every table was full and a huge crowd in the waiting area/lobby. While I still do not quite understand their seating issue for big parties I do appreciate Nugget worked with us and was so great. About 20 mins after being seated Nugget came out and introduced herself and explained everything. I can really appreciate her taking the time to make sure everything was going smoothly for us and to just talk to us. Through out our whole meal several managers came to check on us. Our waitress was great. Very friendly, smiling and attentive. She made sure we had plenty of rolls and refills. When I mentioned to her my son didn't care for the Mac n cheese and that we would like to get another serving of mashed potatoes instead she was right on top of it. The staff did a "yeehaw"! Happy birthday to my daughter. We brought cake and the waitress made sure to ask if we needed some side plates to serve it. Great experience returning since my first review and we will be back as long as Nugget is around just not such a big party. I changed my initial 2 star...
Read moreMy daughters took me to dinner for my birthday. Server was less than friendly. We still left her a 20% tip, because hey if I was a Server I'd want a tip. When we got there, the table across from us was also celebrating a birthday. The staff came and sang happy birthday to them. Thru out our meal several tables had happy birthday celebrations going on. My oldest daughter (15) let the Server know it was my birthday as soon as we ordered. She seemed annoyed. We got our food ate and she never came back to check on beverages etc. The manager stopped by early on in our meal asked if food was to our expectations. It was we continued our meal. Server came by and dropped off bill. I wasn't even 1/2 way done eating. Nor was my kids. My youngest (7) asked if they could sing to me. She asked if we were ordering desert. I said no we are probably going to be to full and we'd pass. My oldest was paying, so she put the cash down. Off the sever ran tip in hand, never to be seen again. As we sit finishing our meal another Server came by my youngest said to her it's mom's birthday can you please sing to her. Nicely, she said you'll have to get your server. It was so important to my kids to as they put it to "embarrass" me in public and have staff sing to me. I was good either way. We waited and waited. Finally my 7 yr old climbed out of the booth went to the manager and asked again. Manger said yes we can. Again we waited and waited finally in explaining to my daughter that they must be to busy so we need to leave. Right then another group who came in way after us had a birthday and got sang too. OMG how do you explain that to a child. I told her I'd wait for 5 more minutes then we had to leave. She keep hanging over the end of the booth anxiously I felt bad because that's all she wanted. So finally I got her convinced we had to go they must be too busy but she said no no no look they are just all standing there doing nothing. Literally tears are coming out her eyes. As we get up to leave the manager sees her and runs over to our table and says can you please please wait just one minute. I'm getting my friends and we are going to sing to your mom. That made her smile so big! The poor kids that is all they really wanted. No thanks to horrible sever but BIG thanks to manager for making my kids day. Oh I wish I had got the managers name . You truly do not know how important that was to my kids. I don't know what the severs issuse was because I try to be very accommodating and respectful my family has been in the restaurant business for decades, I understand it's hard work. I also understand their is a certain amount of people skills needed. Manager had it sever not sure she's in the right position. My babies are happy in the end. Only...
Read moreWorst customer service experience ever at Texas Roadhouse in Roseville. I placed an online order for a Texas Roadhouse Combo which was the 6oz Sirloin, Chicken Critters, Ceasar side salad, baked potato and Strawberry Cheesecake. Was told my order would be ready by 5pm. My daughter was told 5:15 pm for her order. Got there at 5pm and confirmed my arrival. Was told it was not ready. 15 minutes later I received a text message. I went in to grab both orders and noticed the portion size of the cheesecake was about 3 bites at the price of $9.00. I had very small portions of chicken critters that appear larger on the menu (false advertising). My steak was a bit small but didn't make a big deal of it since I waited so long. I immediately returned the cheesecake slice for a refund and informed the manager Kasey and girl at the register that I left my bank card in my car. I was told my daughter order was not paid for but it was and stated I would go get her. When we got back the girl at the register had pulled the wrong order for my daughter which had been sitting there paid for and never received a text that it was ready. I continued standing for 5 minutes at the register waiting for the manager to refund me. The girl at the register and manager completely ignored me. I finally asked if the manager was coming back to conduct my refund and the girl tells me it's already been done and I would receive a refund within 3-5 business days. Wow are you kidding me? Like they both heard me say I was getting my bank card. I was then told by the manager she can't do a refund at the carry out register but only in the back office. I have dined in many times in the past and quickly received a refund for poor service. Since when do refunds take 3-5 days at a restaurant? To add insult to injury I never received a receipt for my refund. Got home to eat my food and the chicken tenders were rubbery, tough and overcooked. My steak was supposed to be slightly pink but was rare, raw and extremely tough couldn't cut it with a knife. All I could eat was the potato and salad. People expect the same great service and portions in a carry out just as they do with a dine in. Stop raising prices skimming customers on food items. Stop treating customers like trash with carry out orders. This Texas Roadhouse location has really gone down hill and should be inspected. Please spare me your robotic...
