Zero stars would be more appropriate. We were seated immediately, which was the best part of the visit.
My husband ordered drinks for the table and I took my child to the restroom. The smell upon opening the door bowled us over. One stall was filthy (I assume that was the source of the stench) and the other two were passable. I mentioned the smell to staff and it was shrugged off.
The drinks were brought after a brief wait and orders were taken. I ordered a 6oz steak, baked potato, and the veggies. There were no vegetables available as sides, as they were out, so potatoes of some form or another or pasta were the only two options. I ordered the pasta. My husband ordered a burger and very specifically asked the tomatoes and onions not be added. My daughter ordered a kid’s meal and French onion soup.
An appetizer consisting of Queso and chips was ordered with our meal and was brought out about 10 minutes later. The chips were piping hot but the queso was below room temperature- just warm enough for it to be dipped, and even that was a struggle for the weaker chips. Our waitress disappeared and stopped by once to check on the table, another 10 minutes after the appetizer was brought to the table. At that point, complaining about the queso seemed pointless as our food should be coming quickly.
Another 15 minutes pass- 35 minutes total from the time of ordering (a handful of tables were filled when the order was placed) and our waitress shows up and incredulously states, “THEY didn’t bring your food out?” We confirmed what was blindingly obvious. Visibly aggravated, she stalked away to bring out our food. After two trips and clearly mad, she pledged to bring a spoon for the bowl of soup ordered and disappeared again.
While we waited for the spoon, we began working on our meals. The child’s meal came out hot. Everything was as ordered. My husband’s hamburger came out loaded despite the request for some veggies to be held off, which was an unpleasant surprise when he bit into it. The fries with his meal were fine. The steak I received was warm (not hot whatsoever)- half of it was over-cooked, half undercooked. The pasta tasted like a loaded baked potato and was hot in some places and cool on others. The baked potato was a hot mess. Actually, nothing about it was hot. Instead, it was cold and hard as a rock. I had to use a steak knife just to try to cut the inside and mix the “fixings” in. The butter was solid- which should have been a red flag in itself. It wasn’t edible.
10 minutes of trying to eat around the hot mess, we still had no soup spoon. Our waitress sped past our table twice avoiding contact. I got up and found another waitress who promised to retrieve a spoon. Another 5 minutes go by and between my inedible meal, and our long wait, I was growing increasingly agitated. Still no spoon. The second waitress saw me, apologized for forgetting, and then quickly retrieved the spoon. Upon breaking the bread at the top (I see you, garlic bread from the pasta dishes), we found that the soup was 1.5 cups of soggy onions with enough broth to call it a soup from a distance. The bread was so soggy at that point that it wasn’t edible either. Nothing worse than a kid sad about her soup.
Our waitress passed by asking how the meal was and once our mouths opened to speak, she had already disappeared again. She returned to a neighboring table dropping the fruit from the adult beverage they ordered on the carpet and then stepping on it was she passed back by. Disgusting.
We paid on the kiosk available and left. The entire meal was a disaster. As we left, the table next to ours (who had an equally awful experience) was waiting at the front for a manager. As we were already very behind on a road trip, we left as soon as possible.
Overall, we were insanely disappointed in the meal and will NOT...

Update 02/27/2023 Although this is still one of our absolute favorite spots to pop in and grab a great meal, today was way off as far as the food. The servers were so sweet and helpful (one was even heavily pregnant and still keeping up),so no worries on that part. The appetizers were really good though it looks like they've cut back on the serving amounts for each item on the sampler tray. This time we ordered the parmesan and shrimp steak with broccoli and cheese sauce. The broccoli was so delicious with that white cheese sauce, and crisp so it tasted fresh 😋. The problem was with the steaks and silverware (ordered both steaks well done). Firstly, The steaks arrived more of a medium rare to medium well the first time. So we sent them back, and yet again arrived nearly rare. So we just ended our lunch and just wanted the check at that point (I hate wasting food, so I didn't want to risk sending it back and the same thing happening for a third time). The manager (who was also very kind and tried to help) did come out and offer to let us choose a different item, but after the long wait we decided not to, honestly at that point I lost my appetite. Secondly, The silverware I was given was dirty and had to ask for a new set. Yet again, the second set arrived dirty! So after receiving a third set, they were finally clean. So in the end of things, the manager removed the steaks from our bill (which we appreciated) and we headed out. Not what we usually experience there (which had us surprised), but is still a favorite restaurant for my family, so we didn't take it heart, and will continue to dine there. After all people can just be having an off day🙂, especially those who work in the food industry.
2nd Update 02/28/2023 Unfortunately after the steak fiasco, I woke up around midnight sick as ever (Diagnosed with food poisoning). So I called this afternoon and spoke with the manager (a differentonefrom the day we were there). Informed him as to what happened with our meal (the steak) and what's now going on. He Informed me that they were low on some items, and had to purchase from another place locally because their truck hadn't came in by the time we visited. He apologized and I asked him to just have whomever was cooking yesterday to be extra careful with food safety. I just wanted to give them a heads up to what happened incase it hadn't been reported properly. I'm never out to bash anyone, but I'm really going through...
