So I get to the Popeyes on Buford at 10am. There’s a man whom I later found out was named Mark. The “manager” Staring at me at me in my car so he knows There’s a customer waiting outside as he smoking his cigarette or whatever he’s smoking. I’m on the phone so I wait about 6 to 10 minutes to enter the drive-through line and I hear a voice come on the intercom and I say one moment although I’m not sure what was said. When I was ready The intercom that I was ready to place my order and got no answer. I waited about five minutes, Toying with them, Saying hello over and over again because I think it’s funny at this point how terrible customer service is everywhere BUT ESPECIALLY Popeyes. It does not make sense that you can’t go to any Popeyes in the state of Georgia and have professional service. You have to go to Chick-fil-A for unseasoned mediocre chicken for good Service. So after about five minutes of playing with the people on the intercom and laughing, I drive up to the window so that I can talk personally to the people who are in there cause I’ve clearly seen them playing earlier. I get to the window and there’s a young lady named Jazmine who looks at this. She doesn’t really want to answer the window and she knows what’s coming to the other coworker who did not want to face me either. Jasmine (childish, please stop hiring kids) Was laughing and looking stupid in the face when I asked her if they were open, which they clearly was because I saw him assigned 10 AM it was now 10:12am. She couldn’t really give me a straight answer on why it is that she couldn’t answer the intercom or take my order. She thought it was funny so I asked for her manager. The manager came to the window. He explains his name is Mark and I asked him what was going on With the professionalism, he gives some crappy answer and asked me did I placed my order and I laughed at him and said how can I place my order and your headsets aren’t even on any of your heads?? This happened Sunday monrning. And I promised him that I was gonna leave a review because I am I’m sick and tired of people hiring terrible people who do not want to work for them please. At this point, I see why robots are gonna replace their jobs. Fire them so that People learn to actually do their job. Read moreit really hurts that I have to change my review because it at least earned one star at the time but even the management needs to change my husband and I were promised our refund last night were told not to bring in the food that they would process the refund I even took pictures of the food to show what they tried to pass off to us then tried to say it was a new thing Popeyes was trying. That’s a lie u can’t sell what is not promoted by corporate. They can not offer all that other stores do but u can’t just add ur own stuff to the menu Cajun rice with the red beans I mean the whole order was messed up but the red beans and rice just made it worse my kids didn’t want it so we had to spend more money on food they would eat we called this morning the general manager had no idea but had said he would honor the promise told us to come in after 1 o’clock because then it wouldn’t be so busy when me and my husband got to the store around 1 o’clock there was a line wrapped around the building so we decided to go to Walmart first then went back to the store the line wasn’t wrapped around the building this time I went in I asked for Mr. Jeremiah they told me he would be with me in a minute I waited 30 minutes then asked when Mr. Jeremiah would be available they said a few more minutes 30 minutes later I’m standing at the counter and I voiced that it takes less time to issue my refund then it would to take a customers whole order take their money and make their order that’s when the manager said he didn’t have to deal with me Mr. Jeremiah that is and called the police on me I wasn’t violent I wasn’t screaming I wasn’t cursing I wasn’t throwing anything I was simply voicing that an hour of waiting on a refund that I had already been promised over the phone hours before was unnecessary but I have contacted corporate so little does he know he was completely in the wrong today and I urge anybody that has a problem with this Popeyes call corporate do not let any franchise tell you that corporate has no say that franchise is still nothing but a branch on the corporate tree they still have to follow corporate rules so calling corporate does make a difference follow up on your cases that’s how change will be made in these restaurants. Read moreWill not return! My SO and I decided on Popeyes fried chicken for dinner and decided to come to this location. We walked in and it was basically pure chaos, despite the dining room being empty. The drive thru line outside was not very long...Maybe 4 cars. The male manager (in street clothes) standing at the counter yelling and intensely scolding the workers about a matter. we initially thought he was a customer. He stopped yelling long enough to turn around and greet us and then continued to scold them. The male cashier copped an attitude and was defensive when we ordered, cutting us off stating they were busy and backed up. I stated we were ok waiting and he simmered down a few notches. Seems he’s probably used to having altercation with customers bc he was quickly defensive without reason to be. While we waited in the dining room...we observed approximately 8-10 workers in the workstation area. Walking over each other, playing with each other, on cell phones, leisurely leaning on the workstation. This went on for the entire time we were waiting. Most orders were at the drive through. The workers all except maybe 1-2, had long hair and no hair nets. I did noticed one guy in particular in the back. He was doing all the work! He was busily breading and frying the chicken and he was very focus. A staff member’s kid was literally playing in the bathroom walking back and forth from it to behind the counter and finally took a seat in the dining area. The food turned out to be fine. It was cooked to order and we had no issues with our meal once we ate at home. We waited approx 20 min for it to cook We will not be returning to this location. The remaining part of this review is from my SO: The staff was not working they were literally playing at work. The manager is unprofessional and incompetent. He attempts to discipline staff in front of customers. Staff member’s child was playing in the restaurant and in the kitchen - totally inappropriate.
