China Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Roswell

I started going to China Garden since 1994. Back then the food was great. Over the years the taste of the food has changed so I stopped going. Every now and then I try again and the food is just not good. Today November 17, 2023 I tried again and was totally disappointed in my food. I ordered the lunch menu and had Sweet and sour shrimp. I wanted to try the pork fried rice again and asked for that instead of plain fried rice. The up charge for pork was $5. I specified no eggs or bean sprouts and light onions in the rice. When my order arrived the rice had eggs and bean sprouts so it had to go back. When my order came back, it looked good however was full of large pieces of onions. Can I say the taste of the rice was lacking and I was totally DISAPPOINTED!!! The pork pieces were dry and tasteless. Not like I remember. This was so disappointing. Needless to say, I’m done. So glad China Garden is still going strong following a year plus of retail turnover in its Holcomb Bridge shopping center! I first ate here in early 2018, when nearly all its neighboring stores and restaurants were closed. Even then, business was hustling and service and food were top notch! I returned on a whim yesterday with my partner and his family, and I was so glad to see this restaurant survived and continues to thrive amid construction. Together we tried five dishes: mango chicken, spicy shredded beef, Mongolian beef, phoenix and dragon, and the Thai basil tofu. We also enjoyed an appetizer of potstickers. All were excellent — so delicious, in fact, we barely said a word to each other within the first several minutes of our meals arriving. Savory and appetizing food in generous portions at a reasonable price, I cannot find another Chinese restaurant that can compete with China Garden in Roswell.

Over the past few months, I have ordered several items off of their menu from the Mongolian Beef to the Kung Pao Chicken, and they consistently deliver hearty and tasty dishes. Dine in, to-go, or delivery; I have ordered food from China Garden through all of these modes, and consistently, time and time again, the food is prepared meticulously well yet efficiently quick, and most importantly the food tastes extraordinarily flavorful.

Well worth the time and money to check this restaurant out, and, if you live in Roswell, China Garden is hands down the to-go restaurant for regulars and others looking for the best Chinese...
