You will not find a better Mexican restaurant in the Atlanta area than El Torero! I've been to a few of their locations and the one off Hwy. 92 is the best. The staff is amazing and so very friendly!
The menu is quite extensive - if you can't find what you're looking for, you're not trying; and as George Costanza might say " tell them what you want and they'll make it for you!"
Everything I've tried there has been amazing. They start you off with (gratis) chips and salsa - the very best in town. Hot, fresh, homemade chips and fantastic salsa - not too hot, not too tame. I also recommend the nacho cheese dip with jalepenos - so good!
For your first visit consider choosing one of their four dozen or so combo meals - that way you can sample of few different varieties all at once. The burritos, enchiladas, and tacos are fantastic and the nacho cheese tostada is a great option if you don't get the cheese dip beforehand. I love the El Grande hand-held burrito with steak, and the stuffed quesadilla is amazing, too.
They sell an enormous beer for just a few bucks - best bargain in town - get the Dos Equis amber - it's perfect with the food!
Finally, aside from the amazingly friendly and efficient staff, the kitchen will crank out your food in no time - seriously - you will hardly wait at all for your food - it'll come out piping hot and fresh every time. Didn't get enough while you were there? Take some chips, salsa and cheese home with you!

Read moreFirst and last time that we'll eat here. They're carne azada was like a piece of shoe leather.
Had to send it back.
The ribeye was maybe a 4th of an inch thick and while tender, it had no flavor itself other than the ranchera sauce on top. So not cooked with garlic, butter or any seasoning on the meat. The waiter took our order and never came back to the table. We had to ask one of the other waitresses to refill our drinks. So service couldn't save the experience.
The carne azada was sent back to be replaced with a number1 and the taco meat was way overcooked just like the original azada steak
Saw that almost everyone in there had margaritas or other drinks, so that's maybe why it's popular...... but since we don't drink that nixed it for us.
Try Hola if you want a really, really, really good...
Read moreWithout a doubt, this is the best Mexican restaurant in Roswell. Their food has a wonderful mix of flavors. Each item has a standalone taste. I love it. The menu may appear huge, but at its core, it's pretty straightforward.
The Pollo asado, carne asada and Puerto tacos are outstanding. When I asked about the pork tacos 🌮, I wanted to jnow if it was a carnitas style pork. I was told they cook fresh pork right on the stove top. I was a smidge skeptical, but damn. The flavor on the pork married with the sauce was amazing.
I am very impressed with the whole show. The service is great, on top of the excellent presentation. Just as I finished my drink and was thinking about ordering another, here came the girl with a fresh one. Brilliant 👏🏼
This will become my go to spot in the...
