Final Score - 1 Star
I try to measure a restaurant's overall quality experience by contributing factors assigned appropriately with stars.
I leave honest in-depth reviews with constructive feedback only. I do not make reviews out of hatred towards the restaurant or any of the employees.
Below will tell you how I came to a conclusion on this restaurant's final score. All ratings below reflect my personal experience with the restaurant:
0 / 1 Star - Time - The meal delivery was completed 50+ minutes after it had been ordered. The restaurant was understaffed and the food took much longer to be delivered than expected. Also, it seemed locals, who ordered after we got there, got their food much quicker than us. So if you're a regular here, you're in luck. I encourage the restaurant to not prioritize its' customers.
.25 / 1 Star - Service - The Service here was definitely not exceptional. We saw locals/regulars here get their food delivered quicker and had the waitress's attention nearly the entire time. Our table was visited nearly 4 times during the 1 hour we were here, leaving much to be desired.
.5 / 1 Star - Atmosphere - For what the restaurant is it had a decently pleasant small-town restaurant atmosphere. The place could use a renovation or two here in there but as an interesting Chinese/Mexican hybrid restaurant it's about what you might expect. However, the restaurant is not very big and can get loud, so if you prefer something quieter I'd recommend to pass this restaurant up. Once again, for the hybrid restaurant that it is, not the worst atmosphere ever. It can be surrounded by locals who love conversation, which is a great feeling to be surrounded by people other than travelers and first time guests.
.25 / 2 Stars - Food - Firstly, the menu choices are vast but composed of a unique combination of the same ingredients. They offer a small buffet for just under $10. I personally did not try the buffet but I would recommend a proper meal. The food all seemed reasonably priced for what it was. Until we got the food. It seemed that the restaurant can go by the saying "Quantity over quality". A good restaurant will have quality over quantity. A great restaurant will have a good balance of both. However this restaurant is not that. For those who are just here for quantity and nothing else; this is your restaurant. However if you're the average consumer, the amount given to you is a little overwhelming (which sometimes isn't a bad thing) especially considering the quality. The fried rice and beans were the only things that were great. The quality of the beef, chicken, and shrimp was terrible. All of it overcooked and one could easily choke on something compatible to a piece of beef jerky's chewiness factor. Unfortunately the only thing the food did right was quantity. You're getting a lot of bad quality food for your money. Take it with a grain of salt.
Overall this restaurant was personally not good. I've had much better. It's hard to master Chinese food or Mexican food by itself, but to do both is not only ambitious, but asinine. You sacrifice customer satisfaction in order to pump out both cuisines. I recommend trying a different place out if you're looking for a one-stop-shop while visiting Roswell, New Mexico.
This restaurant could hire more staff and focus on Mexican food alone rather than trying to be a Chinese/Mexican hybrid. Maybe more staff will fix the issue of quantity over quality, but the quality of the meat is utterly bad, I suggest cooking the meat differently or buying your meats from someone else entirely. The restaurant could use some in-house fixes as well to update it to what we've come to know out of other decently popular Mexican restaurants.

Read moreDO NOT WASTE YOURE TIME THERE, READ THIS INSTEAD.....By far the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Started off walking in to a small restaurant with nearly every table dirty, and the waitress asked how many we had (5) and since the tables were all dirty she told us to sit at a booth, if we had not been 5 grow adults we could have squeezed in, so we sat at a table instead, she casually took her time after dropping menus off ( it's mainly a buffet oriented restaurant) and taking nearly 10 min to come back for drinks, then we all have our plates before she brings all the drinks ( the 2 waters were delivered but she must have had to go pick the tea leaves). The buffet was horrible, nothing full and everything basically empty. She never came to check on us, food quaily or drink refills. The other waitress clearly looked at our empty cups and delibertly would not come near us in fear we would request them from her, I can understand that if you are in the weeds, but she never even went to tell our waitress. I could get over all that, but when we went for sweets there were only 4 pieces of what was a full carrot cake, and all the cookies were gone, we split the cake and had the curtousy to leave a piece, then when we were finally done, she came back like she was just there ...water? DUH we are all empty, but she comes with refills but then writes the bill, upon walking to the front we saw that they had put cookies out. So I go get 2 cookies for each of the 5 of us, we paid for them technically with the price of buffet. There were two older cooks (60+) eating on their assumed lunch and immediately ran to the back to notify the male younger cook (30's) who then stares at me like I'm a child he wants to discipline, he then tells both waitresses who then come to front, then they try to say I will be charged .75 for each cookie, I looked at both of them and reminded them both we had the buffet and there were no cookies, they tell me it's togo, I will be charged no matter what. I may have been a little citrate by this point, I left the cookies on the counter and told them how horrible their service was and walked out, I went back in told them it was against health code to put cookies back and since I wasn't paying for them they must be discarded, she rolled her eyes so I grabbed that togo box and threw it away for her. And I have been in the restaurant industry for over 7 years, and I have personally ran a fast food restaurant with just 2 people and I have had 6 employees run a casual dining restaurant also, I have never ran out of something and not compensated, so you are warned go at...
Read moreWe walked in and one side of the place was unbearably hot. We sat on the cooler side. I ordered the enchiladas and asked about the choice of sauce they offer, red or green. She said the green was hotter so I went w the red. We ordered a child's plate w the red also for our 2 yr old. She brings out an adult plate for our 2 yr old. (She didn't get the order correct.) We told the waitress and she said she would just charge us for the child's plate. Fine. Then while we have our food already, my husband had to wait forever for his. I taste the enchiladas and they are a powdery/gritty sauce and so hot they were inedible. Just from a couple of bites my mouth and lips were on fire and my nose got runny and then stuffy (even after we left). And I'm not a wimp when it comes to hot stuff. We ended up only being able to eat the rice and beans (which were pretty good) and sharing my husband's rainbow Chinese plate w him. Luckily it was a huge plate of food and tasted pretty good. The waitress never brought us our ticket until we were already in line at the register. My husband asked the lady at the counter if the red sauce is always so hot that you couldn't eat it and she said yes, the green sauce isn't as hot though. Why would the waitress tell us the opposite?!! Then he had to explain to her that the waitress got our order wrong and figure out the correct charge. I noticed they didn't serve tortillas w their plates. We'll never come back...
