We easily spent an hour at Bricktown during our vacation to Roswell, and we honestly could have stayed even longer. It was a definite highlight of the trip, and I would even say it's worth travelling to Roswell solely to see the amazing works on display in this museum.
Each display is amazingly detailed and organized in a thoughtful way. There is a clear story present in every room, especially with how the Trainville and Alien Attack! towns are laid out. The employees were extremely friendly too and willing to engage with us over the story. I wish we could have spoke longer because of how excited they were to talk about the time and energy that goes into creating the magic of Bricktown.
The sheer amount of bricks used in the exhibits can be disorienting at first, especially because of all the lights and moving parts. The scavenger hunt helped to focus our attention on the individual sections and details spread throughout every part of Bricktown. We were constantly finding new details tucked away in every corner of the displays that weren't on the scavenger sheet, like a squirrel nesting on the roof of a skyscraper, a person with their bird in an apartment building, or janitorial staff cleaning the streets of an amusement park.
Although we didn't spend too much time in the Brick Lab, it was a great way to get our hands on something after not being able to touch the displays. I imagine that it's a welcome relief to children who are used to going through museums where there's nowhere for them to expend their energy. It also helps to keep people from intentionally knocking over displays.
If you allow yourself to be absorbed by the scenery, and become invested in the genuinely whimsical atmosphere of Bricktown - the playful "briefing" at the start, the "forcefield" glass protecting the residents and the displays, the "high stakes" storyline - then you will have a fantastic time.
I hope the museum is able to continue expanding their displays. It would be wonderful to see more rows of art on the walls, and to have places to sit and view the exhibits from a more child-like perspective. I can see a bright future for this attraction, and I highly recommend visiting now so you can see it grow into something even...
Read moreThis place was great. Whether you're looking for some aliens on the Roswell Tour with Paul, want to partake in some VR experiences, or play with Legos, this is the perfect place.
The tour with Paul was amazing. He definitely knows his history around the Roswell crash and will definitely point out all the little details that makes you love listening to the story.
The VR Experiences were great.thry have 2, one for seeing the Roswell crash from the aliens perspective, and one for experiencing the Moon Landing. The Alien one was good but nothing exceptional. The Moon Landing was stunning. If you love being part or seeing momumental moments in history do this VR experience. It made me tear up.
The Lego Brictown part was cool, lots of lego setsand puzzles to buy or make your own. The walk through was really nice to see as many hours have been put into the sets on display.
Overall, if you're in Roswell and don't really care for aliens, but one of your buddies does, this is a great...
Read moreMust see attraction, well worth the cost. We did the brick tour which was super cool to see the lego sets, but what was really worth it was the scavenger hunt. Make sure you grab that before you leave "orientation" because it made the experience way better in my opinion. It really forced you to look into the small details of the lego sets to find what was listed. We spent over an hour there and found all but 3 items on the list (Fireman to the rescue, trebble on train, and the white house I think is what those 3 were called).. eventually we gave up but it was really fun to look at the amazing level of detail in the sets. I could see coming on a weekend when there are more people may not be as fun because you are constantly running around all the sets trying to find everything, and if you had a lot of people there crowding it up it may not be as good of an experience. But, it was well worth it.. the scavenger hunt isn't just for kids, we are lego adults in our 30s and still...
