One of my favorite things to do when traveling this country is to hit the little shops and support local businesses, especially the shops with locally made art! The first time i visited the gallery in Main Street arts last year, i got this awesome wind chime in the shape of an elk and some locally made candles. This latest visit, I found a gorgeous stone necklace called dragon's teeth made by Helen Walters, a beautiful original watercolor of toucans called "gossip" by Ken Hernandez (it matched my tiger and toucan jacket, i couldn't resist š). Last but not least, the coolest, most beautiful tool i didn't know i needed until my husband pointed it out - a seam ripper necklace that can be stored pointy side in on the stunning wood part of the necklace, made by Bobby Goode. I wish i could remember who made the wind chime i got last year, but i do remember she and her husband have a corner on the front near the door.
If you want to find some original art that is reasonably priced, this is your place. If you like to shop local and support local craftspeople, this is definitely your place! It's absolutely going to be a regular stop for me anytime...

I recently picked out a beautiful 15 oz white with green leaf imprint square bottom mug (top right) from Catherine Allenderās collection of ceramic mugs, bowls, ramekins (sauce cups), and such. The large mug is just right for microwaving my morning hot milk tea oatmeal and keeping it warm to the last bite, even after mixing in cold bananas, blueberries, and walnuts! This is a nice change from my plastic bowl of oatmeal being cold at...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDelighted we found this local artist gallery & art space. The store is manned by the local artists. I picked up several small pieces & the artists in the store that day were very helpful and accommodating. Prices were very reasonable! In the back they have an area for classes. The store was clean & laid out well. I highly recommend a stop in here for a bit less cheap plastic stuff & tank tops that seemed a bit overrun in some of...
