Elevated fine dining meets hometown heart on Canton Street - thanks to one local family in Roswell!
After two decades of calling Roswell home, the Yu family has gifted our community something truly extraordinary. Truth Be Told isn't just another restaurant—it's a love letter to fine dining that rivals the best establishments we've experienced across the US and Europe.
The bar program alone is worth the visit. The cocktail menu features clever, contemporary twists on classics that surprise and delight. One standout featured a strawberry ice cube that enhanced the drink as it slowly melted—pure genius in a glass. Whether you settle in at the spectacular bar or the cozy lounge, you're in for something special.
The prix fixe format allows Chef Matt Marcus and his team to showcase their artistry. What arrives is nothing short of magical: a carefully orchestrated symphony of flavors where surprise dishes dance between your selected items. Each plate is both visually stunning and explosively flavorful—the kind of food that makes you pause mid-conversation and simply savor.
The A5 Snow Beef deserves special mention—it literally melts on your tongue, requiring no effort beyond pure enjoyment. But honestly, selecting a "best dish" feels impossible when every single plate delivered perfection.
The staff radiates genuine warmth and expertise, making you feel both pampered and at home. Their knowledge and enthusiasm for what they're serving adds another layer to an already exceptional evening.
Open for less than two weeks, Truth Be Told already feels like an established institution. The buzz is building, and reservations will only get harder to secure. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or creating one, this is an experience that will have you talking for months.
Keep in mind this is elevated fine dining so any reviews that say the prices are high and the portions are small - that’s what you expect with a chef curated menu - high-quality food, many courses, which will absolutely fill you up by the end of the meal, and excellent service. All of that comes at a price so if this is not your thing, there are plenty of other less expensive restaurants to try in Roswell, but you cannot touch the quality, the taste, and the service at TBT! And your meal will be worth every dollar you spend!
You will not be disappointed. You will, however, be planning your return visit before...
Read moreI went to Truth be Told last night with my Granddaughter and had the most amazing dining experience! The place is exquisitely decorated with a different feel to every room which is very cool. The staff, from the Valet Cincere, to the Owner John, and the Manager DeVante, as well as our waiters Zion and Brayden and the Bartender Jerlisa, who got me fresh mint from the garden could not have been more welcoming or attentive, they were so professional but personable at the same time. Now let’s get down to food! Amazing 😍7 courses with 9 expressions all made from scratch using farm to table produce from their local farm and prepared by their chef who gives attention to every single detail and just when you think you tasted the best course the next one comes out and blows your mind! I really loved the pace and cadence it gave us a chance to relax, talk and really enjoy the food. I appreciated all the vegetarian options, I had the Corn Agnolotti, but great options as well for meat eaters as my Granddaughter loved the Georgia Wagyu Tongue and Tri Tip, I am posting some pictures that won’t begin to do it justice, but honestly just go see and enjoy for yourself one of the best fine dining experiences ever! Oh and we left so full we couldn’t even finish...
Read moreLast week I had the pleasure of trying out truth be told for the first time. My friends and I had so much fun and ended up staying until close! The art and design of the space are so well done, makes you never want to leave. So shout out to the staff for putting up with us :) Our server Jose was incredible.
From start to finish you can tell how intentional this experience was. The chef, owner, and staff have all come together to create something truly unique.
The drinks were so creative, maybe the best cocktails I’ve ever had. The red handed and infinite lies were both incredible. They made an exceptional martini and a delicious espresso martini to go with desert.
The food was amazing- the standout to me was the Wagyu tongue and tri tip which was the most well prepared meat I’ve ever had. I cant wait to come back and try it again. My favorite of the first courses was the summer squash tart. I was surprised by how much I loved the aerated vegetables. My favorite desert was the strawberry. I got the chance to have a bite of just about everything and it was all delicious.
Without a doubt the best experience ive had at a restaurant this year and can’t wait...
