Zippies Pizza (Formerly Apizza Center) — Restaurant in Roswell

I have a friend from Kentucky who came here during their family vacation. They asked me if I’ve been there since I come here for work once a month. I am usually in a hurry so I replied no.

I finally stopped with a friend from San Antonio , Texas who is beyond picky bout his pizza. He usually gets cheese or pepperoni and calls it good. Not this time!

We ordered a whole pizza with two half different topping pizza to try more at one time. He was not looking forward to this, but a promise is a promise.

We sat down, the freshly cooked pizza came out. The look on his face was priceless when he saw the pizza. The smells, he was ready to take this step. He became a believer that day that he’s been missing out on life with pizza.

It’s been a several weeks and he still talks about the experience and the pizza he discovered. He’s tried other places, but not impressed. He’s ready to come back for more.

As for me, it’s my second time here for my pizza fix. I am still traveling from Texas to make time to as my priority stop.

I’m sitting here today with a new whole pizza with two half different flavors. The brand new Green Chile Enchilada Pizza that was just created 2 days ago and another called the White Pizza. Both did not disappoint.

Look at me talking all about the pizza…. The staff is on point as top tier team. The owners hands down are the most friendly humans. This is a true family franchise. They remember faces when you walk in. Sometimes, they may remember what you ordered last time you were here or know your regular. They are an ear to listen, a smile to shine and a star within the community of Roswell, NM.

When in Roswell, what better food to get? It’s a pizza on a silver saucer. Fitting for a city that has flying saucer and green people everywhere.

You will be glad you visited. If you come seasonally, make it your “Go-To” also...

SPECTACULAR FOOD - great diversity of fare too! Delivery Lady - SHOUT OUT for EXCELLENT TIME and FRIENDLINESS (even all the way to the base!!) Desserts 1st: Tiramisu - perfectly on point, chocolate syrup instead of cocoa powder but hey the tiramisu is so delicate, creamy with balanced flavors I’d never complain. (Pictures next time cuz the food disappeared so quickly :) Cannoli - crisp shell with thick full flavored cream filling throughout, not overly sweet, dream-inspiring textures. Sides 2nd: Side Salad - real crisp lettuce, not the iceberg “that’ll give ya gas” type junk, real Leaf lettuce mixed with julienned carrots, shredded cheese, red onion, diced tomatoes, sliced cucumber; all very fresh, crisp and ready for the house made Italian dressing comes on the side. Fried Mushrooms - lightly battered and fried de with ranch dipping sauce. Garlic Cheese Bread - great balance of melty, gooey cheese with olive oil, herbs and garlic covered but not drenched, crispy toasted Italian bread with a side of the house made marinara. Finally (LOL) Entree: Eggplant Parmigiana... sublime, amazing, tender, flavorful, crispy fried eggplant yet lusciously saucy. Made me ready to try more of their food. I’m thinking Manicotti of the Tour of Venice. Seriously Out of This World food...

Had a terrible experience here recently unfortunately after a couple other times of having decent experiences my issue today was that the cheese pizza we have gotten for our daughter before she said tasted weird so I tasted it and it was absolutely disgusting like old dish water or something similar not like normal at all when I called and asked if I could get a new one and told them I would give them back the old pizza if they needed completely untouched(except 2 bites from me and my daughter discovering it was gross) I was told that they were in a middle of a rush and would have to call me back FOR REAL I not only am not getting a replacment or a refund for it but I have to wait for the manager to even speak to me until it's convenient for them the only reason it's a 2 star is because the garlic bread and the Stromboli were not bad and we did eat them however because of this experience I will never be eating here again although I'm sure they are overjoyed to hear they will not need to call me back I felt the need to share this I have pictures of the pizza and my ticket I highly recommend not eating here sad to say I love our local resturants here in roswell and encourage everyone to try any of the other great choices...
