Great food plagued by poor management and other issues.
We use to go weekly to DD in Austin and have never had any issues. However the opposite is true for this location.
One day we came in to find out the AC was out and had been all day. Still not one manager could be bothered to rent an AC in the middle of summer?
Then there was the day they were out of to go cups. Easy enough to grab some from multiple stores. But again, this was beyond management's capacity.
So my Gf and I go here weekly. About 33% of the visits end with me standing in line 20 minutes after requesting a pizza for the buffet only to find out the employee failed to put it in. So we usually end up spending a lot of extra time waiting.
They quite frequently have people run the register who make mistakes, don't know how to pour beer. Etc
This last time they forgot to put in my request, the cook came out and lied to me saying they had already put it out. I think his cooks lied to him. Either way if you make a mistake and then lie to me about it. Well it just means I won't ever return, even having great pizza I just refuse to support a business that has glaring management and employee issues. And then to add insult to injury, lie to...
Read moreHorrible customer service! One of their delivery drivers almost ran over my family members as they squealed out of the parking lot. When we called to complain, the person who identified himself as the owner was extremely rude, defended his drivers unsafe driving, and offered no apology. That should have been enough to end our longstanding patronage, but those pepperoni rolls are just too tempting, so I gave them another chance. I called in my order for pickup and gave them 30 minutes notice. When I got their to pick up my order an older gentleman (who appeared to be the owner) could not find my order on their system and had difficulties ringing me up. I was curtly told by him "it would be a minute". I proceeded to wait 15 minutes. At least I was entertained for a while by the manic cussing cook throwing pizza boxes around the kitchen. Really, I couldn't make this up if I tried. Tired of waiting, I asked how much longer only to find that my now cold pizza rolls were sitting there the entire time. Again no apology. The tone from the top here is terrible and this franchise puts a black mark on Double Daves...
Read moreLast Tuesday I order 18 pizza rolls I called and spoke to shift manager and he told me that he would offer to replace or refund full order I told him about my allergy to garlic Since they had given my cheese rolls instead of my original order. He said to call back when Ben the GM would be there and it would be no problem. So I saved the entire box of pizza rolls to show them. I call back to speak to Ben a few hours later when he got into work. Ben was very rude he told me he didn’t care weather or not I had an allergy to the garlic cheese rolls that he wouldn’t give me a refund or remake I told him I have the entire order I couldn’t eat it they gave me someone else cheese rolls I order pepperoni only. I can’t eat those rolls or I would end up in hospital. He then proceed to tell me his shift manager has no authority to be giving anyone refund or remakes and he called me a racial slurr.
