This was my first time visiting Firehouse Subs and will be my last. This is the example of the one that ruins it for the rest of the stores.
Tonight I walked in with my family and we weren't greeted, not even smiled at. Okay... maybe this isn't that kind of place. Move on... We placed our order with a young lady with bright colorful braids but her personality didn't match her lively hair style. She repeatedly coughed into her shirt while taking my order and I couldn't help but grimace with every cough. She wasn't exactly the friendliest person. I glanced at her coworker and he looked like he'd rather be anywhere but there. I leaned into my husband and said, "Wow, the staff's attitudes kind of suck." We looked over the dining area and I found the cleanest table that I still wiped down with a paper towel. A quick scan over the place and I couldn't help but wonder when the last time this place was cleaned. I was casually watching the staff touch many surfaces and the food without changing their gloves. I started to regret choosing to eat here. We waited about 10 minutes and got our food. Unfortunately my order wasn't correct and we asked for a new sub. So I watched my family eat their meal. About 15-20 minutes passed. We were the only ones in the dining room so I was confused what was causing the wait. The 3 workers were kind of hanging out talking about the 90 minutes they had left of their shift but no word about my sub. My husband asked them about my sub and they had forgotten about it. So I said we are canceling my order, getting a refund and I left hungry. We needed to get back to our errands. Superb app! Easy to customize and order exactly what you want and how you want. Quick pickup spot just inside the door.
But I ordered without ANY onions fresh nor grilled. And it came with plenty of grilled o ions, probably because I asked for grilled green peppers (as shown on order). Friendly helpful staff on the phone offered to remake the sandwich, just call ahead.
Called ahead. No problem. Clearly specified no onions but add grilled green peppers. No problem. Went in to pick it up, don’t have it. Hmmm? Nope, not here. Oh! Phone order, not internet? Go stand in the long order line to pick up.
In what world does that make sense? Just hand me the darn sandwich wherever it is already! Nope.
Stood in line about four minutes. Got sandwich. Took home. No grilled sweet peppers. But guess what? Grilled onions. Arghhhh. Once again it’s correct on the order ticket attached to the bag, just not correct on the sandwich where it counts.
I’m not calling this back in to have it re-remade. I’m not even sure they would believe me.

   Read moreThey don’t pay attention to orders. I had a pick up order that I placed to pick up via Uber eats and when I got there- FIRST they said they never got it, and it didn’t exist. There was a super rude and grouchy older lady with glasses who looked like she didn’t even want to be there….she said oh, well it looks like the Uber picked it up. I’m thinking-Ok? I am “the” Uber ? Did you even ask for the name before you just let someone else take my order? She clearly didn’t care, shrugged her shoulders then continued on rolling sandwiches. It was just so inconvenient because now I had to wait another additional 20 minutes to re-place my order. Anyways this is is more of a customer service review, and to top it all off she asked me if I wanted my pickle on the side for both combos and I said yes, but when I got home there was no pickle to be found. So check your order if your pickle is really important to you because it is to me lol. Why ask and then forget, and why give away other peoples order and not pay...
