PoK-e-Jo's — Restaurant in Round Rock

We have come here a lot of times and everyone of our visits never have disappointed us. The managers are Sherman and Patt and there is Shayla and Kai. They are all so friendly helpful and we love this Pok-e-Jo’s. We have been visiting here since 2021 and I was surprised I hadn’t reviewed this place because I love it but I was glad I waited.

Now I am so happy I visited Pok-e-Jo’s today. So I decided my husband pick our place for lunch today and he decided we come here. I am a vegetarian and whenever I come in I eat a baked potato (which is delicious) along with two sides and a toast. But today When we came in they said they ran out of potatoes. So we decided we come back. I just casually mentioned how I loved the potatoes here and how I come here exclusively for it and the manager Sherman said they had some cooking and went inside to check for the potatoes. And he came back with two yummy potatoes. I was so happy. Shayla made my potatoes and she made sure they were cut with a knife that hadn’t touched meat. It was so sweet. The manager also asked me to try their new cucumber salad that they just introduced and it was really good. So I had a baked potato with cheese butter and sour cream along with cucumber salad and coleslaw(my all time favorite)

My husband Ofcourse who loves their turkey had a 2 meat plate with green bean casserole and potato salad. My husband loves it here.

This was such a good lunch today and I met such kind people. It made my day. We definitely will come back soon and also recommend to all family and friends.

So if you eat meat they have amazing barbecue. If you are a vegetarian they have baked potato and amazing sides. And they also give you toast which is really good. So...

Tucked away in the shopping center you will find a little slice of Texas. Today I ordered a Mac and cheese plate, comes with one side and toast as well as a drink. They have a island condiment bar with all your fixings. Onions sliced and chipped pickles, lemons and so forth. On the end there you will find extra sauce in case you run out. Pok-e-jos has two options original or spicy. I personally favor the original. It’s a hickory smoked yet sweet flavor with hints of honey. Leaving your tastebuds wondering what and how it is possible to have my mouth watering and tingling all at the same time. The pickles are perfect the perfect crunch!!! The sweet tea is not as sweet as I expected it’s actually leaving that after tea tast that kinda makes your mouth turn up. Great thing there is sugar on the table. Texas toast is perfect I’m in love with the way they make their Texas toast it’s perfect. This Mac and cheese is the best Mac and cheese I have had. It’s so creamy and cheesy, with elbow noddles. It’s so good I might get a second helping!!! Imagine for a moment taking a bite and the cheese squirt out the noodles causing your mouth to fill up with cheese that taste homemade! The cherry cobbler...the crust has perfection it’s not too soggy and not too hard. The flaking crust with the deep red cherries causes your mouth to have sweet and tart all at once. I had the pleasure of working with the Pok-e-jo's catering staff out of Round Rock this past weekend for a wedding. I have coordinated hundreds of events, many with Pok-e-jo's, and this was hands down one of the most amazing experiences of my career. Guests loved the food, they always do! But I am here to talk about how the team went above and beyond in making sure any needs were met. It is standard practice for Pok-e-jo's staff to make sure the couple have a hot plate of food for dinner and a to-go plate for send-off, but the staff made sure they were taken care of after the ceremony too. Knowing couples don't usually get to eat the apps because they are taking photos, staff made sure apps were available in the suite for the newlyweds. The cake cutting service was handled beautifully. They helped with linens when the DJ didnt have any. They gave us extra cutlery and plastic cups when our supply ran short. They made sure vendors all got to eat and made me a plate when they saw I was too busy to get to it during dinner. They even swept the venue which was NOT part of their required duties and that helped us immensely with cleanup. There were so many other little things they assisted with and likely many I don't even know about that made the day run so smoothly.
