You know I’m really the biggest fan of this place. I literally drive 20 minutes away from Garland to Rowlett every day since they’ve been open and I never had a problem with any of the workers there and I go in there a few days ago and every single day, I get three drinks a day Two sugar-free drinks for my mom and dad because they are diabetics and one for me and when I went in a few days ago, they gave my mom and dad normal Blondies not sugar-free and they made mine wrong. First time I ever had a problem so I’ve called in. I’ve spoke to them And they told me to go in and they would remake them for me so then when I went in the manager, Morgan was there and she told me they’re going to remake them and then they come back with a $20 bill and I’m like didn’t you say you’re going to remake them? I already told them the story And she starts screaming at me. She was very rude. I don’t know if she was having a bad day, but she should not take it out on customers. she deserves to be fired. I am not a Karen. I don’t mean to complain but she was like she’s the only one there and she said if she replaces these drinks it’s coming out of her pocket and she is like the owner and I’m like are you the owner who pays you and she’s like yes I am she’s making false accusation she’s just a manager she don’t deserve to be a manager. She does not even deserve to work there. She start screaming at me and I got very scared. I don’t feel comfortable to go back there. I’m going to start giving my money to Dutch Bros and going back there again because nobody gives me a attitude there everybody else I love but her she was very rude. It’s not about the money it just the principal my mom and dad sugar diabetes went high because they gave them normal drinks with no splendour or sugar-free wasn’t looking for a refund. I just wanted my drinks made and the way she made me like I was lying and literally every worker knows me there. I come there every day and I don’t even need to order my drink because they already know what I want. I have no reason to lie over $10 drinks Morgan does not qualify to have a job there 151 is too good for her. She needs to be fired. I think she was just racist on me because...
Read moreA Disappointing Experience at 151 Coffee in Rowlett, Texas
I recently had the opportunity to visit 151 Coffee in Rowlett, Texas, a cozy little spot that promises a welcoming atmosphere and high-quality coffee. As a coffee enthusiast, I was excited to give their mocha and caramel Frappuccinos a try. Unfortunately, the experience was far from ideal, leaving me unsatisfied and questioning the value of their offerings.
Upon entering the establishment, I immediately noticed the lively atmosphere and the cheerful staff. The decor was modern and trendy, hinting at the potential for a great coffee experience. I placed my order and eagerly awaited my drinks, anticipating a delightful pick-me-up.
I began by trying the mocha Frappuccino. The taste was reminiscent of an icy coffee one might find at a gas station, rather than a premium coffeehouse offering. While the flavor was not entirely unpalatable, it was certainly disappointing, especially considering the $6 price tag for a medium-sized beverage. I would not recommend this drink to anyone seeking a high-quality coffee experience.
Moving on to the caramel Frappuccino, I encountered a similar issue. The cup was generously filled with caramel at the bottom, but the Frappuccino itself tasted like a simple iced blended coffee from a gas station. I had hoped for a more sophisticated and balanced flavor profile, but unfortunately, the drink fell short.
Considering the price of each medium-sized Frappuccino ($6), the taste and quality were simply not worth it. For a better coffee experience in Rowlett, I would recommend Scooter's Coffee across the street. They provide a more satisfying and well-rounded selection of beverages to choose from.
In conclusion, while 151 Coffee in Rowlett, Texas, offers a welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff, their mocha and caramel Frappuccinos were a disappointment. With an underwhelming taste and a high price tag, I would advise fellow coffee lovers to look elsewhere for a satisfying...
Read moreReview based on the grand opening
151 is a coffee shop that knows what it wants to be. The owner has a clearly defined vision all the way from the theming of the store down to the Instagram stories the employees are curating.
While waiting in line at the grand opening, bubbly employees were interviewing customers, handing out stickers, and just generally oozing excitement about the brand. The slogan is, "It's a great day to have a great day." With $1 medium drinks for the grand opening, I tend to agree.
The coffee tasted great, so nothing to complain about there (although I'm far from an aficionado). The downside I see is that there isn't indoor seating (which costs them the 5th star). I enjoy coffee shops for the serene study space, and that's just not feasible in the 110°+ Dallas weather (to me).
It will be interesting to see if 151 can convert enough people to the brand after the bonanza of a grand opening. They are clearly savvy marketers (utilizing social media, hype, etc.) and have a keen eye for efficiency (borrowing the double drive through from Chick-fil-A, and employees taking orders from several places in the line instead of just at the front).
Another impressive feat was the speed at which the coffee arrived. Three drinks in as many minutes (even with dozens of other customers).
I hope...
