The CiCi's closest to us closed down so we were forced to go to the next closest CiCi's location for take out pizza, which is this one in Rowlett. I ordered a supreme with no sausage. Got it home, it had sausage on it AND no pizza sauce on it at all!!! Called back up there & the young man on the phone says bring it back to us & wait while we make you another one. What!?!? (How about you go ahead & make it now since I've already wasted my time & gas on 2 trips now. I bit my tongue.) I asked for a manager & explained the situation again. He said no problem, I see what happened. I'll start another one without sausage & make sure they put pizza sauce on it this time & extended his apologies. I got home with the 2nd pizza & guess what, it STILL had sausage on it! I didn't mess with it anymore at that point, it was late & I was done! Sent it to work with my husband for his buddies to eat the next day so it wouldn't go to complete waste. People make mistakes, I gave them another shot on two more occasions & every time I would get the pizza home, it never seemed fresh or good. We don't order anything fancy anymore. Just 1 plain cheese & 1 plain pepperoni. The cheese is usually ok but the pepperoni is always skimpy, dry & cold as if it had been sitting awhile or re-heated. My husband & I have wondered if they didn't just throw one of the older ones sitting under the buffet in the box during their less busy peak time as not to waste pizza. We'll never know but we did stop going to that location after 3 attempts & disappointment each time. CiCi's has been a staple for us for years & many different locations, it's not that difficult to mess up a simple $5 pizza for us but the Rowlett store has managed to do it multiple...
Read moreI visited this store on 10/23/22 to pick up a DoorDash order, and when I got there the order had already been picked up by someone else. Usually 9 times out of 10 when this happens at any other restaurant establishment, I get yelled at by the manager usually because they don’t want to remake the food (which costs the restaurant money- which I totally get). Instead of getting yelled at like usual, the manager Josh had me confirm with my customer that they hadn’t received their food yet so we were able to determine that it was stolen, and that it indeed needed to be remade for the paying customer. While the pizzas were being remade, he also contacted DoorDash support and had them not only reimburse Cici’s for the original order, but the second order as well which I thought was very impressive considering how much of a pain it is to talk to DoorDash customer service. Most restaurant managers either turn away the second order, leaving the customer foodless and having to contact DoorDash support for a refund, or remake the food without contacting DoorDash support for a refund which costs the restaurant money by making the order twice for only 1 payment. I was extremely impressed with how Josh professionally handled the situation and was able to save Cicis on costs by going thru the extra hoop of contacting support. I just wanted to show my appreciation for his help today and how beneficial he really is to...
Read moreSo, my family and I ALWAYS prefer this location over others not just because it's closer but because, usually, it is a better managed location. However, the day we decided to come here for dinner, I was so very disappointed. We arrived after the dinner rush, about 7:30 pm on a Friday night. No matter what time of day we go to Cici's, there is always a good selction of food. Things a clean and neat and well stocked.
We paid for our buffets and made our way through the line. There were NO bowls for the pasta. There were no breadsticks. There was maybe 4 total slices of pizzas on the buffet. The dessert buffet was empty. There were no lids for the regular sized cups. You get the picture. No, the dining area wasn't packed but it was empty either. There were enough people eating where a few pizzas should already be on their way out on to the buffet.
The employees were just standing around, chit chatting and we had to repeatedly ask for items, bowls, lids, time on when more pizza will be made, etc. There was no real attitude but they came off as if we were the ones inconveniencing them.
I was so disappointed in CiCis this day. The only reason, I gave 3 stars is becaue once we brought things to their attention, then things slowly got fixed. However, I don't believe that customers should have bring SO MANY things to their attention.
I hope this is a one...
