I want to support this place but service has been a disappointment lately. Today 10/4/24, I ordered one item our usual (small oreo NO CREAM sno cone - my daughter is allergic to dairy so NO cream) + a pup cup for our boxer. Drive thru wait today took some time but we expected it as this has always been the case. At window, I get our order and there IS CREAM so we returned back. Fully aware of the 3 cars behind us, I told the worker we will park to not upset the cars behind us. 8min had passed and we have seen 2 cars get their orders. My daughter (11) and I decide to go up the walk-up window to find out if they had forgotten our order. There was a lady and her 2 sons who were placing their order in front of us so we wait for them to finish. A worker named Olivia puts out a small oreo cream order in front of us and asked me what was wrong with this order (the one she just presented us)? I said that was NOT the order your staff handed me in my car (ours HAD CREAM in it - we know what cream looks like as this is what we order EACH time we are there) and surely we would not give it back had it been right the FIRST time. I told her usually when a business messes up an order and send the customer to park, that order is priority; but 2 cars passed us with their orders. She finally apologizes (with a grin on her face; did not seem genuine) and said we are swamped and got behind. The lady waiting with her 2 sons and I looked around and at that time there were only 2 cars and us there. While waiting in parking space, they were not swamped as there was only 1 customer at walk-up and the 2 cars at drive-thru. Lady with her 2 sons also mentioned it took them 20min to get their last order there and it was only 2 sno cones and it is always like this here. Also during our time there, there were 3 workers.
I am a very patient person and will give an establishment multiple chances, but customer service here is not worth it. I asked for a manager and Olivia said we don't have one. I should have asked for a refund, but did not want to wait another 15min+ to get that resolved. I will give my business elsewhere and try out the small sno cone shop by Sonic on 205 in Rockwall.
This is not the only time Bahama Bucks Rowlett has been slow. We often come here after her dance practices and it moves very slow for a simple order (1 sno cone and a pup cup)!

They are ultra friendly and I wish I could think of the guy's name that is over the top friendly he is a little "sweeter" than most men if that helps;) lol but anyway I normally always go to this location but was working in Sachse one night and decided to get one there so I could eat it on my way home I always order the same thing Regular Red Raspberry with Extra juice and creme on top. I placed my order in Sachse with not so friendly service and got it and pulled off not paying much attention a few minutes later I realized it was completely dry a light pink color which normally is a bright red and some white parts in the middle, :( I was SOOOOO disappointed and heart broken. I love these shaved ice treats! I was upset and had a thought that once I got to the 66 exit off of George Bush I would pull into the one in Rowlett and have them squirt some more juice on my dry shaved ice so I did! I figured they were all ran and owned by the same people. Well the guy in a friendly tone told me to pull up to the window and he came to the window and was extremely understanding and happy to help me and instead of taking my icey and putting juice on top he replaced the whole thing and apologized for my inconvenience! I later found out it is a franchise and has different owners but he still helped me out and my drink was PERFECT! PLENTY of juice as requested and I will NEVER go to a different location again! Lesson learned! Thank you Bahama Bucks in Rowlett for making my night a great one especially when I wasn't expecting you to do what you did! Love this location!...
Read moreMy husband and I are very frequent customers and usually have a pleasant experience but tonight was an exception. I drove through to order the same thing we always get which is a large grape shaved ice and they always ask if we want whipped cream with it and we always tell them no. So I ordered it by saying I needed "a large great shaved ice, no whipped cream". When I got to the window and the girl handed it to me it looked like a swirl of grape and something white which I assume was probably whipped cream. I immediately said it didn't look right and that what I ordered was a large grape shaved ice with no whipped cream. The girl looked at me as if I had somehow insulted her, grabbed the cup out of my hand and disappeared without a word. A few minutes later she came back and handed me what I had actually ordered and made me feel very uncomfortable about the whole thing. Definitely don't understand why an employee would get mad at a customer for expecting to get what they had actually ordered! It was obvious that she had simply misunderstood what I said when I placed the order. It happens. No biggie. But to treat me poorly because of her own mis-hearing me is inexcusable in my opinion.
