I don’t think I’ll be back here. I came in as a new customer with my mother since we are new to the area and wanted to check it out. I am a vegetarian, so I realized there weren’t many options which it’s okay; it happens. I was speaking to the girl taking my order, and I kindly asked if there was a sandwich that they could make vegetarian. They looked lost as if they had never had a vegetarian come in. Okay, that’s fine. They gave me an option. I wasn’t feeling it, so I just went with the egg salad sandwich, which is also okay. The girl asked me what type of bread, and I asked her the options again, and I apologized because I said, “we are new here. I’m not sure of the options. can you repeat them again?” The older man with white hair (i assumed he was the manager or owner) interrupted and said in an annoyed disrespectful voice, “we are just like any other bagel store here,” and another very petty angry comment. It wasn’t even the comment that was rude. His look towards me was just straight-up hateful and angry. That made me really uncomfortable. I don’t know. I quickly assumed maybe they were racist because we are hispanic? My mom was uncomfortable too. She also felt that he was racist. They all looked at us weird because I was translating to my mother the options in English. I don’t know, we felt completely out of place. As far as the food goes,… not very good. The toast was burnt on both sides. They hid the side that was burned the most to cover the sandwich. Pretty sneaky. My mom's sandwich was very salty. The sandwiches come with a giant bagel chip which seemed weird to me. The coffee was good, though. That is the only positive thing I have to say about this place. We wished we would have gone tried Beanbury or go back to Roxbury bagel or hell, go to Dunkin Donuts they have really friendly staff. Unfortunately this is the downside of trying out a new place. We are going to stick with Roxbury Bagel next time. Great food there and VERY nice people.

Bagels were fine. Tasty everything bagel with a good balance of toppings. Outer crust and texture is not standard. If you are looking for a shiny or crisp crust this is different, but I found it pleasant. Clean building. Service was prompt and fast. Coffee was fine. Parking lot is a pain. I did not personally experience anything negative but am noting that there is a significant amount of people who did.

It’s wild that I haven’t left a review here bc I have probably been here close to 50 times - and I live more than an hour away. Simply put: the best bagel spot in North Jersey. I’ve had many phases of orders but my go-to right now is the Taylor ham, egg and cheese with a hash brown on a French toast bagel. Great food, better people- I wish I could have it every day!

Went here to buy some bagels and it was a horrible experience. First off, their service is atrocious. There were two older employees there, possibly the Owners (a woman and man), and the brown haired woman was so rude. I stood at the counter where it says to order, and she says to me to stand somewhere else? So I moved to where the register is, then she shouts at me and says "why are you over there, you have to come here and order, or you can leave and come back". What a horrible response, but I decided to just place my bagel order and leave. Now, regarding the bagels, I ordered a few Cinnamon Raisin and just those bagels tasted terrible. Poorly made with no flavor. What you will notice is that the bagels are big, but they lack the flavor advertised. I also got a Jalapeno and it was not cooked fully inside; I had to throw most of the bagels away because they were not fully cooked and oddly enough, some were so pale looking that it was now obvious why those had no color because they were not cooked thoroughly. Then I go to the register to pay, now mind you I was the ONLY person there and the guy at the register decided to walk away for a whole 6+ minutes; I decided to time it after a few minutes passed. When he returned, he had the audacity to say "are you finally ready?". What is it with this place, but I do believe that they will inevitably shut down. While I don't appreciate bad customer service, what I despise more is that the products they are selling is even worse. This is a big PASS for me. I would rather give my business to Dunkin...

I came to see if the reviews matched with my recent experience. And yes, they do. I’ve been here several times since I started working in the area in September. Always good so I was excited to bring my family for the first time on a Sunday when we were in the area and the owner was at the counter. (Only I didn’t know he was the owner - I figured he was just an employee having a bad day based on his interactions with the customers - I’ve never seen a business owner act such a way) Then he was unnecessarily rude to me and my daughter because our (called in) order wasn’t ready yet which we were actually fine with. He seemed annoyed with us that we arrived and our order was not at the counter yet. That was only the beginning. I won’t go into any more details other than what I feel was the worst. The worst part for me was the way he spoke to his own staff members (some appearing to be teens) that were kind, friendly and genuinely trying to provide a quality experience after they saw how he was behaving. I honestly hope that level of poor behavior towards his staff is not something they think is normal in any workplace especially in customer service roles.

So fine, I get it. We are from Jersey, we can handle it so I did - but I won’t go back. And besides everyone has a bad day, right? Yeah, these reviews prove it was not a bad day — I just got lucky on my previous visits to never interact with this guy.

Good thing for me is that we have plenty of great bagel shops literally blocks from each other and the others provide great food and...
