We stopped in for lunch during a weekday in June, 2023. We've never heard of Colton's Steak House & Grill, let alone been to one. But we came across this one while passing through. It was lunch time and sometimes you have to take advantage of options when you have them. We like trying places we've never been to, so Colton's fit the bill. Right off the bat, Colton's had the rustic persona that a lot of steak houses have. Once inside, nothing changed. Everything fit the rustic look. We were seated and ordered pretty quick. Colton's seemed to have decent prices. They were even better with lunch specials. Our food came out fairly quickly. Everything we had was excellent. Probably one of the best meals that I have had recently. We were told that the wife's meal was over cooked, and they refused to serve it that way. So they cooked another meal to what they felt was proper. I need to point out that we never saw the plate. It never came out to the table. The people in the back wanted it right. And they made it right before it could be an issue. It did take about three minutes longer. But it was excellent. Then they even discounted the meal because it wasn't right. We didn't ask for any of this. But we were impressed with the quality of Colton's staff to make sure things were right. Our server was named Raley according to the check. Yes, she told us, but I'm not the best on remembering names, let alone pronouncing and spelling a lot of names. Anyway, Raley, was such a pleasure to have serve us. She was an absolutely delightful women. Not only an excellent server, but an all around wonderful person. She was friendly and helpful even beyond her duties as our server. If by chance you read this, thank you Raley, for a...
Read moreI'm a steak conisore, I've been to Flemings, Charlie's, Ruth's Chris, Morton's, Sawgrass, Texas roadhouse you name it. Every single time I enjoyed my steak, but this place sux!!!Even waffle house can make a better steak. I ordered an 18 ounce medium rare T bone thinking it was gng to be a thick nice juicy steak but instead I got a paper thin/tasteless no seasoning at all on the steak that even though medium rare it was chewy and hard on the jaw that anyone can go to Walmart can get a choice prime t bone steak and grill it, and will be a lot better than this. I never reach for A1 sauce on a steak, it's a sin to use any kind of sauce on a steak but today I had to use a sauce on my steak. The decor is okay for a steak house but the cleanliness needs to improved, management should be ashamed. When I arrived they were scrambling to pick up the layers of leftover food under the table and even after that I had to kick remaning trash left over, I the entire place was covered with food on the floors. Makes me worried about the cleaniness of the kitchen. I don't like to write negative reviews but this place needs to improve. Any travelers passing by i40 stop in Conway or Forth Smith and look for a Texas Steak House not this chain. Never again Colton's! I dislike Longhorn but ill take Longhorn any day over this place. I rarely leave bad reviews but as a steak conisore it is my duty...
Read moreWe went to colton's for a birthday meal. We were seated. No silver wear was available, they were out of rolls. Waitress took our order and tried to remember our order then left the table to place order to kitchen. Waitress came back to table 2 minutes later with pen and paper. " what did you want to order again, I forgot." Rolls were now ready and delivered 5 minutes later. Salad was delivered 5 minutes later. Still no silver ware. Ask for silver ware again. Main course was delivered. Ordered a T-bone and got a ribeye. Not cooked to order. My partner order ribs. Ribs were old and dry. Mac n' chez came in a to go container??? Asked for ketchup and A1. Ketchup came to the table empty with broken lid. While eating what we were delivered without complaints. Notice another table across from us order appetizers. Those appetizers were first delivered to a different table then picked up and delivered to the table that ordered them. "Um?...let's let other customers breathe on your food before its delivered to the correct table" not the safest thing to do during COVID-19. Bottom line is waitress was clueless and just didn't care. This will be the last time I give Colton's another try after 4 other bad experiences. Colton's use to be good. There food sucks now and the staff could careless. I'll be cooking my own steak at home from now on. And stop supporting...
