Mr.Roy's Grill — Restaurant in Rutherford

We went today for lunch, specifically the cheese steaks. For me, the roll is everything and the roll was the best I've had in a long time! Super-fresh! The actual cheesesteak itself was fantastic! The fries were fresh and so good! Needed nothing on them, but I do like fries without ketchup.

This is a tiny place with a few tables inside and a few outside. The owners were very personable and took the time to chat. For such a small place, the menu is pretty extensive! They even have General Tso's chicken served with rice. We didn't order that, but we did see it going to someone else and it looked and smelled great! They also have wings, burgers, pastrami, chicken sandwiches, chicken francese.....Yes....we'll be back over and over again!

We'll be making this our Saturday brunch/lunch go-to! I'd like to try other items on the menu, so I have my work cut out for me! I will definitely recommend this place to anyone!

EDIT: Second visit....Friend had General Tso's chicken and rice that was FANTASTIC!!! I had a 1/2 lb burger that was amazing! Perfectly cooked on a brioche bun. Can't wait to go back to...

This place is absolutely amazing. If you have not been here, I highly suggest you try it. It's amazing food. I have had so much off their menu and everytjimg always tastes amazing. Firstly, the ribs or so so so juicy, they fall right off the bone, they taste amazing. Talk to anyone who has had their ribs and they will agree. The tso's chicken is also really good, with the rice and all. Now if you want to get a panini I highly suggest, I typically get the chicken pesto but sub out the chicken for Cajun chicken which adds a whole new level. Really anything on the menu is amazing and I would reccomend this place to anyone. Also the homemade drinks there are so freaking good, the Horchata is actually out of the world, I get it everytime they have it available. Also make sure to say hi to Roy!!!! Mr. Roy's hasn't missed a beat yet and I've ordered several of their menu items for delivery. Pictured here are their Buffalo wings and cheesesteak. The wings are soo good, like seriously possibly some of the best I've had in Jersey. Cheesesteak is delicious as well. I'm a Cheesesteak snob,it's not a Philly cheesesteak but it is way better than some of these NJ spots that claim to make them. Good bread-which is important and I ask for no peppers because I only like the jarred ones on my sandwiches.
