Well from the beginning, The restaurant was very inviting. We sat down, we were greeted by the waitress Bella. Bella was spunky high-spirited and very happy. We have been coming here for years. Watching Bella grow up until a young woman. My wife ordered spaghetti meatballs, my daughter ordered ziti with butter and chicken on the side. I ordered the chicken parm. When my wife started eating her spaghetti and meatballs she took one of the meatballs which she thought it was a whole meatball but it was sliced in half and the other meatball was placed in half too. She thought she was going to get two whole meatballs in the end she got one meatball cut in half to make it look like she had two meatballs. My thought was this was a cheap way out, we've been coming here for years the last time when she ordered spaghetti meatballs she got three whole meatballs. That was a big turn off for my wife and myself. When I got in.to my Chicken Parmesan was the same exact situation. the smallest piece of chicken a lot of pasta and a bunch of sauce. Everything is fine with my daughter's chicken in pasta with butter. I just couldn't believe it seems like Traditions Italian Restaurant is getting cheap. We come here every year on vacation from upstate New York, and always look forward to going to Traditions, this time was a big disappointment and very sad. We will not be coming again. It's either they were running out of meatballs and cut one and half to make it look like two or that's just a new tradition...

The food is perfect portion . No leftovers . Traditional Italian . The bartenders are pleasant and talented if you are not able to get a table the bar is a more pleasant atmosphere to dine than the cramped booths and old carpeting . I don’t usually do a bad review but this one is the 2nd time we were denied for service at this restaurant . We were with another couple waiting on a waiting list while we heard the hostess state a few to many times to different customers there is a wait but she seated them quickly. After we were being crammed into the corner bar / window , we reminded her the 4 people standing behind her podium (we) are still here on the wait list after she had relayed to a few different inquiring friends and seated them over us . She kept coughing on us as though she wanted us to leave . After we confronted her of this action she seated us and threw the menus at us stating “ here you are “. We attempted to get a seating this evening and called ahead to confirm there is a possibility to be seated , the hostess stated there is a possibility for a seating , after a 30 minute drive we barely entered the door at 8:00 pm and we was told the kitchen is down . Very rude no greeting or apology . I’m not sure it was the same hostess as it was abrupt announcement from a older woman . Fair price , good food but not a pleasant...

My sister lives in Saco so go to where the locals go went inside and met the hostess which I would have to say was the hostess with the mostess very sweet lady wish I got your name . We didn’t have reservations and there was a 20 minute wait time we were recommended the desert bar next door as we waited for a table. When we were called back we sat at the bar and our server who was the bartender Hilary was extremely busy… she was quite pleasant but didn’t check on us as much as I would have liked . I would have liked more bread and perhaps a recommendations on some Mixed drinks.. no moscato folks perhaps putting that on the drink menu would have been a welcoming choice we opted for the water and a glass of ginger ale. For dinner I ordered the spaghetti luguinni with meatballs 2 meatballs which were e small in size and a bland sauce . My sister ordered the pasta pomodoro with sun dried tomatoes and a angel pasta with added chicken which was quite tasty . The chocolate torte was delicious yet there were only 2 choices for dessert which was a bit disappointing… good experience but could have been better and atmosphere was really loud since it was quite busy Tip reflected on our server not being...

Traditions Italian Restaurant is hands-down one of the best dining experiences in the area. The warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a perfect evening. Cozy lighting, rustic decor, and the soft hum of Italian music created the kind of ambiance that makes you want to stay for hours. The SALSA GUSTUSA is absolutely phenomenal. Perfectly tender seafood simmered in a rich, flavorful tomato sauce with just the right balance of herbs, peppers, and onions. It tasted like something straight out of a family kitchen in the heart of Italy. You can tell this dish is made with love and tradition. Equally impressive was the service. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. Our server gave thoughtful recommendations and made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table. Traditions isn’t just a restaurant, it’s an experience. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just craving a soul-satisfying Italian meal, this place should be at the top of your list. We’ll definitely be back!

A hole in the wall, cozy Italian restaurant that I didn’t know existed in Saco! We had dinner with friends and traditions and had such a blast. The staff was incredible — we were running late and arrived right before they closed, and they didn’t turn us away. We enjoyed our meal and were the last ones dining; they didn’t make us feel rushed. The staff really was incredible. The food was great! Their American-Italian menu had it all: baked ziti, lemon pasta, meats and fish, pretty much everything. We ate family-style and shared the food, and everything was absolutely delicious. The lemon pasta with grilled chicken was hands down my favorite! Also, they had plenty of affordable wines. We got a good Chianti bottle for a little over $30. Traditions is a no-frills Italian joint, and that’s precisely what we loved about it.
