Ordered from them yesterday for takeout (Doordash). I hadn't tried them before but was in the mood for something different than what I usually get. The quality of their empanadas are some of the best I have eaten or seen. I got one with tomato filling and it wasn't soggy at all, which I would have expected since it had to travel. I also got their yucca fries with an array of sauces to try and everything was amazing. I was very impressed and now I know I have another reliable lunch option! For the price and quality, I will most certainly order again! Thank you, Quiero Cafe!
Editing to add: I tried three more flavors of their empanadas today (7/22), and holy cow they're amazing! We finally had a chance to visit Quiero Café in Saco today for lunch, and WOW — we were completely blown away. The food was nothing short of amazing! I had the pork lunch special, and I can honestly say I’ve never had anything quite like it. Flavorful, perfectly cooked, and beyond satisfying.
You can tell there’s heart and heritage in every bite. The staff was welcoming, the vibe was cozy, and it truly felt like one of those rare local gems that more people need to discover.
From one local business to another — thank you for doing what you do so well. We’ll definitely be back soon (and often!) to try more of the menu. Saco is lucky to have you!

Latin American food is more than Mexican - obviously there’s some crossover from country to country but we need some variety. I was so excited to see tamales, arepas, and even Colombian hot dogs. I went with the chorizo empanada and the chicken tamale on my initial visit. The tamale was a bit dry but otherwise delicious and the empanada was probably close to the best I’ve ever had - perfectly crispy dough and just the right size. These are simple, homey dishes and they’re executed very well. Don’t come here and order a quesadilla but instead explore something new - my plan is to try the Chileno hot dog next time (avocado, mayo, sauerkraut and tomatoes -...
