Pizza by Michael — Restaurant in Saco

I’m newer to the area, and I like to support a small local business like this. Ordered two large pizzas for a football party for $40 with tip. The pizza looked nothing like the pictures. They were under cooked, and the nickel sized pepperoni was the joke of the night. Guy humor at its best. Obvious cost cutting on the ingredients. Not a good pie overall. No one wanted the leftovers. We’re big hungry men, we never leave leftovers, most of it was thrown out. I hope the owners read this and start making a better product. I can’t see how they have been in business so long. Abdullah made my night. I had my first day off in three weeks and I had been craving the Greek salad from Pizza by Michael all day. I was so sad to hear that they didn’t have any lettuce in the house. When I called back to say that I would take it w/out the lettuce and add my own, he said he was actually going to go get the lettuce for me!! Above and beyond. We moved to Saco in June and this has been our go to spot when we are craving a pizza (and Greek salad!). We love both kinds of crust and we usually get one of each. Finally tried them out, I'm always too hesitant to try new businesses, but this is by far the best pizza I've found in the Saco area, fresh and fluffy dough with a nice crunch, a simple sweet sauce thats not too herby, real cheese, and the pepperoni doesn't make too much grease! A recipe clearly made by a passionate and experienced chef. I saw complaints about prices in other reviews but I don't see a problem, 13 dollars for a sixteen inch that two people can split easily, 2.50 or so extra for toppings, and only 1 dollar for soda!
