We dropped in here on a weekend afternoon when a glass of wine and some food sounded good to us. We were pulled in by the offerings listed on a menu outside. A sandwich and a glass of wine sounded delicious. We stepped inside and there was nobody around to direct us. There were customers seated around, so we picked an open table and poured ourselves some water that was sitting on a side table area. We had to find someone to get us a menu, but there were no sandwiches. Also, they were out of one of the two red wine selections. We were told that the sandwiches were only available at lunch, but they did have several appetizer options available. We were served our second choice of wine and we decided to order the meatballs. We were told the meatballs would be out in 10 minutes. We enjoyed our wine and watched other customers come in and get their food before us. After about 25 minutes, we were almost done with our wine and we decided we should just get our order to go. Just when we got up to check on our order, a plate of meatballs came out. This was now after a full half hour and we just asked her to pack it up for us. She made the excuse that they were short handed. If they hadn't told us that our order would be out in 10 minutes, it wouldn't have been a big deal. I feel like they shouldn't keep a menu outside showing food they aren't currently serving. The place is really cute and has a good vibe. The wine offerings feel more curated and interesting, I just wish we didn't have these other issues. I don't think I would come here when they are really busy again. It didn't ruin our day, but it certainly didn't meet our expectations...
Read moreOur neighbor told us about this lovely wine bar that was recently purchased by the owner of Localis, a Michelin Star restaurant in midtown. We walked into a cute place with beautiful ambiance that greeted us with a friendly and welcoming staff. We were told we could sit anywhere we liked and that the patio was out back. Great lounge area out back with outdoor sofas, great for chilling and drinking wine, but only a few tables really suitable for eating.
Food selection was lovely. It was creative and had variety. There were three of us and we each ordered individually.
These are my issues with Betty Wine BarâŚ
Food is pricy, especially for a restaurant where you order at the counter. I spent, with tip, about $100 on two drinks, a salad, devil eggies, ceviche, and a muffelata sandwich. I shared with my wife some of this food. It was so delicious too! But, dang, a beautiful place like this with amazing food, delicious drinks, and a great staff is really cheapened by having to order at the counter. Our table had one number and when one of the delightful staff came to deliver the food, they had no idea who had what.
We loved this place overall and will definitely return. We just want to see table service offered. Iâm sure customers are not ordering their food at a counter at Localis. If they are going to charge these prices, Betty needs to up her game.
Much thanks to the fine kitchen staff who made our food and the super friendly front of...

Outlets are available in some spots. Itâs loudâmaybe annoying for book readers, but honestly great cover if youâre on a date and donât want eavesdroppers. Thereâs a back patio too, much quieter and ideal for more chill, low-volume convos.
đ˝ď¸ Food + Menu: Incredible variety. Honestly feels like everything is delicious. Unique ingredient combos across the board, and not a single dish disappointed.
đ Fave Dishes/Drinks: Drink: Free Spirit Highball Dish: Spicy Summer Pasta Also great: Shakshuka, Devilâs Eggies
Presentation is top-tier. Portions lean smallâyou wonât leave stuffed, but youâll be satisfied. Expect to spend around $50â$100 for a solid meal.
â Extras: They have a huge breakfast menu still going, which makes senseâthis place used to be a coffee shop, and instead of scrapping that, they just built onto it with wine and food. Smart move.
đď¸ Service Setup: Order at the counter and seat yourself. You can keep your tab open or close it right away. Wait time was around 10 minutes.
đť Bathroom: Super cool, modern-retro vibe.
đ Verdict: Absolutely coming back. Almost hesitant to post this and blow up the spotâbut yeah,...
