I came to this place once with my sister but we didn't end up ordering because she's very particular about what she eats & wasn't sure of all the ingredients so we ended up going somewhere else that evening. I had been craving a burrito all week. I didn't even know that Plant-Based Power had a burrito on their menu but I waa happy to see it and saw it was filled with ingredients that I wanted to try. My review isn't the best because this was my first time and I expected them to get my order right. There's no reason why my order should be incorrect when I had to place my own order via kiosk. I specified in my order No Fries in my burrito and extra cane aside for an additional $2 cost. This means that I paid extra for a customized order that I didn't receive. So that's why I can't give a great review. I arrived late but didn't realize they closed at 9pm. I liked my burrito but didn't want french fries in my burrito. I would have ordered a side of fries if I had realized the onion rings are sold by the piece. This is disappointing. Out of all the fast food places I have gone to in my life I've never received such a small portion. It's basically $1.00 per onion ring. The onion rings are $5.95. I was shocked that they sell onions by the slice. Well, my good part of my review is that Minus the French Fries in my burrito 🌯 and the lack of thecextra carne aside that was supposed to take the French fries out place my burrito tasted great. The burrito was so good that a few times I questioned whether or not the food was vegan or not. I honestly thought I was eating meat. The texture and taste of the carne asada is very close to the real thing. If I bought this burrito for one of my meat eating friends they would not know the difference. I will definitely ho back and visit Plant Power again. I will be more adamant about making sure that my order is correct before I leave and I will probably never order the 6 piece onion rings again. I guess because some are small they put more than 6 but, still the skimpiest side of onion rings I've ever seen. Should be considered a kid's side order. Regardless of the onion rings, I am very interested in trying other items on the menu. My daughter and I will need to come together especially since I want to try a dessert and saw they have a horchata milkshake my daughter will love with oatmilk that she isn't allergic to like almond milk. I will definitely be back i want to taste their chicken sandwiches and burgers next. It's good food just hope they pay attention to detail next time. I couldn't do anything about my order being incorrect because I ordered 15 minutes before 9pm and they close at 9pm...
Read moreMy new favorite! I've tried other Vegan burger joints(Amy's & Burger Patch)and this one is by far the best. Everything was flavorful, presented well, didn't cause an upset stomach or the body to feel heavy, it was all on point!
I ordered the "Bacon" "Cheese"burger meal with fries and a chocolate peppermint shake. I was a little unsure about getting a "bacon" burger at first but to my surprise the bacon on my burger was smokey & salted just right, it mimics pork bacon well. The shake was good but the peppermint flavor was very very faint, with a tad more peppermint it would've been outstanding. Mind you, I picked up my order curbside and got there about 8 minutes after the order was ready but the fries were still a crispy & slightly salty delight👍🏼.
Another addition to my order was a "Chicken" nugget kids meal with fries and oat milk. My 2.5 year old approved of everything especially the fries. Mommy had to taste test a nugget since I was curious about the flavor, they were good but the batter was just slightly gummy on the inside which was a little bit of an off putting flavor. If I were to order them again I'd ask for them to be cooked a tad longer. The oat milk was delicious, it could pass as cows milk to the unsuspecting.
Our meals together came out to about $20, not bad for an occasional burger and fries outing.
We will definitely be back!
Thanks for serving such...
Read moreCame here with my non-vegan mom and brother, and we all got different burgers and we all loved them! (Mom and brother even said that if they didn't already know that we were eating at a plant-based restaurant, they wouldn't have known that their burgers were plant-based. They would have thought they were eating meat.)
I got their "Iconic Burger" which I think is kind of like the animal-style burger at In-N-Out - and I had it on a gluten-free bun (very grateful that was an option and that they label their menu with which items are gluten-free or can be made gluten-free) and it was delicious!
Mom and brother also ordered some of their "chicken" tenders and really enjoyed those, too. (I didn't try it since it was breaded and thus had gluten.) It's always a good endorsement when non-vegan/non-plant-based eaters enjoy their plant-based food and don't miss the meat.
The employees taking our order and calling out our food when it was ready seemed to be happy. Always good to see employees who don't outwardly seem to be hating their jobs.
Pricing was pretty reasonable. The burgers themselves aren't that big, so my burger being about $9 felt about right.
The only reason I'm not giving a 5-star review is that I think their water spout on their soda machine wasn't the cleanest. I could faintly taste a bit of mold in my water and it was a little off-putting, but...
