I can't compare my visit to In -N- Out standards or other locations as this was my first time to try it. Over years I have heard how good it was, and so while visiting California for work I made it a point to try one. They were very busy with a line snaking through the parking lot, which even for a place I knew I liked I normally would not have waited in, but I wanted to try before I left. The girl taking order at the car windows in the parking lot was very nice and friendly. I tried a double double and an animal fry. The fries themselves were horrible, not crispy at all and Luke warm. The cheese was congealed, but the sauce on top was tasty. The burger was smaller than I expected, although, if it was delicious that would have been fine. The problem is it wasn't. The meat was bland, the bun was soggy, the lettuce was wilty. I couldn't pick out anything in the meal that was worth going back for. Maybe when it started before franchising all over and presumably changing for profit lt was amazing. However as a first time experience I do not understand how they stay open, or have such...
Read moreI've never tried this place until lately but I was hungry and figured I would try it. The place was packed.(drive through) ordering was simple enough and the guy that took my order was knowledgeable and professional. I ordered a double cheese burger meal with a strawberry shake. Next I waited in the truck for at least 30 minutes while watching panhandling at the window. I finally paid at the first window and went on to get my food. Once again very professional. So on my trip home I pulled out what I was expecting to be a treat and started munching. The burger was so thin and gristle ridden that I took one bite and threw it back in the bag. Fine. Lesson learned. Next I grabbed the fries(you can't mess fries up right?) Ya those wher limp sad little taters. I moved on to the strawberry shake... it was literally so sweet that I was concer ned that I would get my foot chopped off from diabetes. I hope this review helps some folks out there. This place is even worse than...
Read moreI really wanted a milkshake at midnight, so while me and my friends are staying the night, one of them went to Jack-in-the-box first. Sadly, they didn't serve people who were walking in the drive-through.
So then, he went to Denny's. But they were closed.
Then, as a last resort, he traveled long and far to In-n-out Burger, where they finally served him. The milkshakes were immaculate. The burgers were squished from my friend holding them while running, but they were still immaculate.
After his long journey across the fast food restaurants, my friend's adventure had come to an end when he reached the house at almost 2am. We had our milkshakes and squished burgers, and that was all we needed. Thank you, In-n-out Burger, for your wonderful service tonight. We are eternally grateful.
(I can't wait until I'm 18 so I can tell my mom about the time I snuck out with my friends to get...
